I bought 1 as a gift for my daughter and after we saw how well it worked out and how easy it is to install she wanted a 2nd one so I went ahead and ordered her another. It has a cute look and is great for kitty to go in and out without having to keep the bedroom or basement doors open.

I was looking for a cat door to give my cats access to the basement- this one is functional and looks fantastic and just as pictured. Fun perk is that the door actually opens and closes, in case you ever needed to block off access. It also keeps my dogs out of the basement! My cats love the door and had no problem going through. Over a year later, and it’s still as good as day we purchased.

I bought the XL version because I have a fatty. This door is super cute and easy to set up (granted you have the tools) and they are already using it like pros .I wish I would have gotten this sooner because I finally feel I have some privacy back and can start shutting the bedroom door at night.

I ordered this cat door for my laundry room door. My cats potty boxes are out in my garage, the garage door has a dog door that was installed by the previous owners but I was tired of always leaving my laundry room door open for my cats to get through. Also, my husband works the graveyard shift so I thought it would be nice to be able to close out the washer/dryer noise while he sleeps.I had to find the biggest cat door because my male cat is a big boy. He's 18lbs and built like a raccoon. This door is great for big kitties. The opening is a good size without cutting out a big chunk of your door. The door kit came with a template and the screws needed to install. The installation was so easy, measure to find the center of your door, measure the template to find the center of what will be the cat door, place template on door, trace template onto door and cut out. There are 2 pieces to the cat door, both are attached to either side of your door depending on which side you want the cat door to open or close. Then you screw them together. It's that simple. The little cat door has a working door handle too with the ability to lock it. Not only is it cute it is super functional.

We installed in the wall to our utility room where we have the litter boxes. Easy installation, love that you can close the door, and it becomes just a need feature on a wall if not needed.

We have a cat that prefers to be in one bedroom of our house. We installed this pet door in the (hollow) bedroom door and she loves it. It is super cute - you use the little door handle to open and close it. The door stays open if you want it to. It was very easy to install with the included template. I like that there is no flap. Our cat is about 12 pounds with long legs so we got the XL option and she easily walks and runs through. She is a very cautious girl but no had no issues using the door. I put a cat treat on one side and she walked right through. I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend.

This is the cutest, best, most functional and delightful cat door! It was easy to install (hardest part is always cutting the hole in the people-door, which has nothing to do with the product), the instructions were clear and simple, and the parts do what they're supposed to do and are durable. I've read too many reviews that talk about cat doors which are supplied with nylon or plastic screws. Ridiculous! So I'm super happy to report that this product came with real, METAL, screws! The little plexiglass windows in the door are awesome; the cats can peer out or in, which I think gives them a measure of confidence when it's shut due to keeping them separated from scary things: they can look and see if that scary thing is gone and the coast is clear, even before you open the door for them to release them back into the other space. They can also see anything they hear approaching the door, and know what it is. Which is much less ominous than just hearing something you can't see, on the other side. The door knob "catch/holder" on this model is genius, keeping the door from swinging and securely out of the way when you want it left open. The hole I cut in the people-door wasn't perfect, but following the template even in a *slightly* jagged manner still resulted in an easy fit, and the extra lip around the perimeters of the cat door frame covered the uglies of my cut perfectly. My cats love the door and the cat that I worried most wouldn't like how his wider butt might brush against the sides of even this XL model, was the first to dash through it--no problem! Both of my cats are taller and larger, long but also fat, and though they duck their heads and maybe dip their backs a 1/2 inch or so while going through, it doesn't seem to bother either of them in the least. Nobody is squeezing through. (They are roughly 17 lbs each, one leaning toward 18 lbs.) It probably helps both of them that there is no flap or plastic door that they have to push their heads against to go through. I'm not sure the one I was concerned about would have used it as readily or happily with a push-through door or flap on it instead of an open "mouse-hole" design.I would 1000% recommend this cat door for anyone who wants a great indoor cat door. Some reviewers have commented that the hole cutout template (paper) included in their kit resulted in a hole way too large for the plastic cat door/door frame. Because of this I held my cat door frame up against the paper template to ensure it wasn't larger than the interior opening, before cutting. My paper template was correct and just right. I'm guessing that folks who had the wrong size template possibly got a product package with the cutout template for the XL when they purchased the regular size (or vice versa) for this door style/model.The sole area of improvement I might suggest is for the instructions; they do not say anything about pre-drilling some holes for the metal screws that you will use to fasten the cat door to your people-door. Perhaps some would not find this necessary with a power screwdriver on the screws and enough downward pressure; but I did not think the screws were going to be sharp enough to penetrate the wood on my door without pre-drilling some holes, so I did.Just make sure that the drill bit you use is smaller/thinner than the body of the kit's screws by a little bit, so the screws won't be too loose once tightened in. (And of course be mindful not to drill all the way through your door to the other side!)Lay the cat door frame on your door in its final desired position/as instructed, stick a fine-point marker down the screw hole spots in the plastic frame and mark the wooden door with your marker pen where the screws will go, remove the plastic cat door frame, and drill holes in the wood at the marker spots. Repeat this for both sides of your wooden door. Then just replace the plastic cat door frame, stick the screws in the holes, and tighten down.
