I've been wanting a catio for a while now, and while I don't yet have it, this window insert is the first step! The locking mechanism is wonderful, giving you options on how and which way to open the flap (this is great for nighttime, when you can make sure they're able to come back in, but can't go out again). I do however wish it came with a better way to seal this into place in your window - the included strip doesn't seem to do a great job, and I'll definitely be on the lookout for a better way to seal this during more extreme temperatures or weather. Other than that I'm quite happy with this cat door, and can't wait to get our catio set up!

This was exactly what I was looking for to allow my cats a way to exit the house without having to go through all the dogs if they did not want to, this allows them that.What I really like about it is that it just snapped into place to install it.I also like that I have the option to have the door open in AND out or one way only of in OR out, this helps because I live in the middle of a forest and I have all kinds of wild animals that may try to get in to my cats room if this was not an option and the โglassโ is perfectly clear so the cats can see in/out.It feels like itโs going to be fairly durable as the frame feels sturdy enough while remaining light and it looks very nice once it is installed.What I am disappointed in is the seal around the frame of it. They sent some tape and 1 small piece of rubber edging. Now this does not fill the gap on my window as this window does rest in the frame, but t he knobs on it donโt allow it to fall all they way into the sash and the top has about a 2-3mm gap for the same reason, to fix this I used the foam they used to package the window for shipping.For the price (about $130 at the time of this review), I would really hope that they offered better sealant options as the ones they sent are really inadequate.

And what a great solution for those with indoor/outdoor cats! If you live in the city it's the perfect solution if you have a cat or bird enclosure built outside for them to enjoy when the weather is nice while keeping them contained/safe! Or put the litterboxes out there and never have any smell in the house LOL.This is very well made and sturdy, it looks great and locks into place well! But this is just so perfect to for protection from the elements... keep the hot air out when using the AC and keep the cold out when using the heat, prevents rain from getting in... I used to have a cat that housetrained himself when I used to live out in the country, I think it had to do with him seeing the dogs going in and out to potty LOL. So he just trekked right along with them LOL. They were all just pals and always together.I'm in the city up here now and I would never let my cats be outdoors, we live on a busy main street in a nice suburb and it's just too dangerous. As well there are a lot of coyotes around here and they'll eat them! But I'll totally build them an outdoor enclosure and use this so they can go out when they want for some sunshine and freshair!Regular price $ 125.99 per the listing for the 31-36 inch one and there's a $ 10.00 off coupon. This is totally worth the price for the quaslity construction, features and what it gives your felines!As always I only do honest reviews and update if needed. This door is super easy to install. Just pop it into your window frame and expand the sides to fit. It does come with a strip of rubber for the top of the cat door to help seal the window and rubber flaps for the top of the window you are raising to install it to help reduce drafts. However, the way the side pieces are designed, they are hollow so you can slide them to the right width. That leaves a gap on the top and the rubber seal they come with is not wide enough to bridge that gap leaving a fairly large area for the outside weather to come in. I ended up using some of the foam it was packed with to tuck into that gap as well as added strips of it to the bottom and sides where it touches the window so it was better sealed. It works well down here in Texas where our winter temps typically donโt fall below 30 at night (and thatโs during a short cold snap). You would want to buy additional sealing strips, etc if you live where itโs really cold and I might end up doing that this summer when itโs over 100 for months on end. Overall, itโs a really high quality cat door that is easy to install and would be great for an apartment where you canโt put a permanent door in.

Well-made products such as this pet door feel extra special to me. This door is almost entirely metal, comes with clear installation instructions, and even includes a tip for training your pet on using the door. Not to mention having a pet door on a window is just a great idea to begin with.The installation was super easy and very intuitive, though again, instructions are included and very easy to understand. And once installed, the door was very secure. Iโve had a lot of things that go in a window like this, from screens to air conditioners, and Iโve never had one that fit so well and was so nice.The control for the different lock options is intuitive as well but also labeled.Whether our cats use this door is to be determined. We have it attached to a window that opens out to the catio. Otherwise, they can access the catio via the backdoor which we didnโt want to add a pet door to because the door is original to the house and nearly a hundred years old. So this window pet door seemed like the perfect solution.
