I’m not to sure about the whole kit but I do know the carb works great especially for an aftermarket carb. I like it because it has the high and low jet yet is specifically made for the ms170/180. You will have to alter the trigger rod a little but after you do it works good. Did not even have to tune it and saw runs great.

Says it fits - yes it bolts on but the throttle lever isn't the same and you will have to split the handle on order to get the gas linkage on properly without a hard time. linkage has a hole for it not a slot. alsond it is my fault for not looking close enough to the picture it does not come with the gasket needed for installation.

The carburetor replaced the one on my Stihl 017 saw. The saw had sat unused for close to 15 years. During installation, I found that the OEM carb had a slot for the throttle link. The replacement had an elongated hole. I had to take the trigger cover off of the handle and disconnect the throttle link in order to connect it to the carb. After that, the engine ran fine. Fuel line and filter were replaced during installation. The chain oiler did not work and removing the handle to access the oil pump and feed line turned into a nightmare due to bad advice on U Tube. The shop manual for this saw is available as a free download. Get the manual and save yourself some aggravation.

They should not say it fits a product if it does not. Just waste of time for me. I am not going to modify it just to make it fit.
