It is beautiful, compact, and seemingly well made. It has a loud alarm. It alarmed when I burned a piece of paper under it. It is a valuable device for cheap price.

Seems easy enough to use - I didn't love that it was doesn't plug in or isn't a hard install but it is meant to be able to be a travel detector so for that purpose, it's handy. The detector itself seems very straight forward.

This unit comes with a user’s manual however the installation instructions differ from the actual model I received: the manual states that you remove the mounting bracket by twisting the unit when in reality the unit slides off from the mounting bracket. Nothing I couldn’t figure out, and installation was easy, however, if the mounting instructions aren’t accurate, how accurate is the rest of the information? I’ve had this up for a few weeks, assuming it is working but without pumping carbon dioxide into my house I’m taking it on faith that it is working. I didn’t have a carbon dioxide alarm previously so I guess I’m a step closer to insuring my safety. This is very much an entry-level model, small & plastic but it’s also pretty inconspicuous mounted on my hallway wall. I keep telling myself it’s better than nothing but perhaps something slightly more substantial would make me feel safer. If I had it to do over again I’d spend more money for a model recommended by experts. On the plus side, powered by batteries so you needn’t have this hard-wired.

As the other reviewers mentioned, it passes the match test. I needed something small and portable for my dorm, and this is the perfect size. It's very easy to use, just needs triple a batteries. It exactly what it's supposed to!

The detector was simple and easy to set up. The instruction's explained all that you needed. It’s a small footprint on the wall and easy to replace batteries when needed. The price was great too.

at $10, i have no reason to give it less than 5 stars for what it does... it's a nice small package, easy to install, and lights up every 30 seconds to let you know it's alive... the advanced electrochemical sensor is designed to provide accurate co level readings, and the test mode lets you see the active ppm, which is a great feature... i still need to test it by putting it in front of my generator, but until then, i’m just trusting that it’s working...it provides 24/7 monitoring, runs aaa batteries so doesn’t require a power outlet... when dangerous co levels are detected, it sounds an 85db alarm with a flashing red led, making it easy to notice... the multiple alert levels are a nice touch, warning you at different ppm levels so you have time to react... overall, it's simple, effective, and gives peace of mind, especially at this price...

Purchased for my carry-on suitcase when visiting locations outside the US. Haven't used it yet, hence 4 stars. I'm sure there's room for improvement. It's is very colorful if you want signals within your eye sight. Not sure where to place it, but it's battery powered.

Handy and compact Carbon Monoxide detector. The unit measures 3" x 3" x 1/4". It requires 3 AAA batteries that are not included. No household plug is needed. The detector has a very loud alarm that should wake you is the CO levels get to be too high.The unit comes with mounting screws and anchors as well as double sided tape for universal mounting capabilities. A small instruction document is also provided. I plan to use the one I have to monitor CO levels in my ice fishing tent that I heat with propane when fishing on the ice. Should work out great.
