I believe everyone should have a carbon monoxide detector in their home just like we all have a smoke detector. Carbon monoxide is a silent killer.Setting up the detector was a breeze, extremely easy installation. The battery powered feature gives me peace of mind, I do not have to worry about power outages. It’s compact design allows it to blend seamlessly into my home without being an eyesore.

This detector is very small and lightweight and perfect to stick in a suitcase. The foldaway power prongs will prevent damage to other items you're travelling with. I recently saw that people had died from CO in a hotel, so I decided to get this for travel. It has a test button, but I suppose there's no real way to know for sure if it works since it's rare that CO is going to build up in your house or hotel room unless there is a problem. Regardless, it will give a little peace of mind to have it in operation. The price seems very reasonable for a small convenient device that could conceivably save your life someday.

This adds a piece of mind to your home. Plug it in, and then you have a detector to ensure that you and your loved ones do not suffer from carbon monoxide poisoning.Seriously get these, they may end up saving your life.

This carbon monoxide detector unit turned out to be smaller and lower profile than I anticipated--a pleasant surprise. I was also happy that it came with a battery for backup power (the unit itself functions primarily by plugging into an electric outlet). The one challenge was the fact the entire instructions on how to test and operate it was in FRENCH. All of it.Thankfully, there are basic prompts in English printed directly on the unit to indicate the meaning of each light color (Green: On/Clear - Red: Carbon monoxide alert - Orange: Fault) and it's fairly intuitive once you see that. Another positive is that based on the type of plug, it can be plugged upside down to make room for other cables that might also be using the same outlet.

Pretty much all the things you’d like in a CO sensor for peace of mind. The glow is easy to see, it has a test button for the very loud alarm noise, and the battery backup is a nice touch. I plug this is my basement

Carbon monoxide is a silent killer. It is important to have detectors throughout your home. This is extremely simple. Just pop in the battery, plug in the detector and you are good to go. I love that it has a little light up feature on the front to indicate if there is a concern. I also appreciate that it has a battery with a 10 year lifespan as a backup in case of power outages. I feel safer knowing that the monitor has that backup to it will continue to function for years even under different conditions. Well worth the cost.

It's not really meant to work solely on battery since it uses a less common 123A photo battery. That battery can last, according to the manual, about 7.5 days. It's a good idea to rotate out your CO detectors, as they last about 7-10 years after they are put in service. If you are unsure when your detector needs to be swapped out, take it down and look for the label. I'll either tell you the end-of-life date or the manufacture date. This box came with everything I needed, including a sticker to put next to it to inform others what to do when the alarm goes off.I looked for which country manufactured this product, and it's made in China. Oddly, the manual is written extremely well in English (a rare but welcomed surprise) and includes directions in French. It is more or less plug-and-play and is a solid value. This is only rated for home use.The alarm is a little softer than my other detectors, but not significantly so.

I recently purchased a unit that looked very similar to this one but was a different brand. As it turns out, it is identical to the other unit I purchased. This white labeling is common for many products from overseas. Like my other one, this unit is simple to use - just plug it in. The alarm is plenty loud It has a battery backup should a loss of power occur. The LED indicator provides the current status, but does not display CO levels. The size is a bit on the bulky side, but it does not get in the way of allowing use of both plugs in the outlet. I have no way to test the accuracy, but it appears to be doing what it's supposed to do.
