Yes, the holes in the side to mount the bracket for the shroud come un-threaded. For me #8-32 tap easily used to rectify the issue.Additionally the nut meant to hold the carb to the intake tube on that outside needed the fingers filed off of it on one side because this carb has a solid web between the mounting flange and the boss for the pressed in cover above the idle mixture screw. But the function. I'd tried to clean the old carb without success. Apparently you have to use ultrasonic and remove the covers. But for 11$ to buy this and have an adjustable carb, the decision was an easy one. Snowblower now runs awesome. Took 5 minutes to dial in the adjustments and get the governor set properly. But now it runs great.

Great replacement carb for an older snow blower. Fuel lines matched right up and it was a speedy job to get back up and running. If it is half as durable as the original it will be worth it. Castings look solid and should hold up to normal usage. The engine ripped to life as soon as the bowl had fuel. Had to adjust the mixture screws to get the engine running perfectly but it was a simple process. Great value and cheaper than rebuilding the old carb.

I bought two of these for two of the same machine. It runs one great but the other it does ok. The machine ran better with the old carb that leaked. This carb doesn’t seem jetted properly and I can’t tune it out with the adjustments. Going to return it.

Very nice Carb. Nice to be able to adjust the high and low speed mixture jets on my 10 HP snow thrower. The only way to go for $12.95. HIGHLY RECOMMEND ! THANKS.

This new carburetor was the perfect fit (identical) for my old but greatly appreciated Craftsman C950-52677-7 8HP 25 inch snowblower. Took me about 10 to 15 minutes to install and the machine started straight away. Very happy with this purchase.

Great value. Does not perform as good as the Tecumseh carburetor but it does the job for far less $$

I like the price and functionality. You can’t buy a rebuild kit for the price of this whole carb. The holes on the front come tapped out to 8/32. I tapped them out to 10/32 to accept the choke assembly. The side of the carburetor has two attachment points that aren’t tapped so I tapped them to 6/32. The carb was easy to set up. I started the engine and let it warm up. With the throttle set to low speed, I ran the low speed jet on the side of the carb, in until it began to sputter. Remembering the position, I then backed it out until it sputtered. Then I adjusted the low speed jet screw half way between the two positions. I then set the throttle on high and adjusted the high speed jet by turning it in until the engine began to sputter and then backed it out half a turn. The Tecumseh snowblower engine works like new with great throttle response and idles down to a putt. This carburetor exceeded my expectations.
