These paired fine and worled perfectly with my 2006 HHR.. You have to pair these with your car by either going to a dealership or buying a device (cannot recall the name) that will allow you to do it yourself. A local dealership paired mine for $25.00 because a gal on the phone misquted the correct charge - which was about $200.00. The dealership believed me because the gals in the office had gotten some bad info and it had happened a few times with pairing these things. Lucky me. But getting them paired is not super cheap.

I purchased this for a 2007 Chevy HHR, and it works great! We had lost both fobs so I bought a Dorman fob with programer here on Amazon for 60 bucks. In less than ten minutes I had two new fobs for around 75 dollars. The dealer wanted nearly 600 dollars. Easy fix at a great price!Update: after a week the fob stopped working correctly. Not sure if it was just mine or whether it is a more broad spread problem.

Remote programmed easily and all functions work that are supported by my Chevy HHR. Only drawback is a delay is required when pressing the buttons more than once at a time, such as two presses to open all doors. Too quickly and it does not work.

The fob worked because I had the programming tool see photo. If I didn’t have tool wouldn’t work. You can buy the programming tool anywhere.

These worked perfectly on my 07 HHR, saved me tons of money and they are virtually the same as the OEM ones, and if fact, they feel like better quality. I didn't have much confidence in them because Chevy told me they always have issues with non OEM ones but I went to my local shop and they programed them no problem! DONT GO TO DEALER! The dealer quoted me $250 for labour and so I tried my luck at a local shop and they charged me only $70! Beware though, your shop will need either a Snap On or Tech 2 OBD Scan Tool to program any GM fobs

Didn’t realize I had ordered two for the price of one. Local locksmith programmed them both in under ten minutes. So happy to have working remote car starter on cold mornings again. And they work from my apartment, on the far side of the building from my car!

After the dealer price quote for a new remote key fob, plus the additional charge for the dealer to program it, the price for two programmable remote keys from this Amazon supplier seemed too good to be true. When I received them and followed the instructions to find out how to program them, I learned that for my car you cannot program remote keys without hooking up a special computer gizmo under the dash. Only a dealer or a locksmith can program the keys for my car. At this point, I'm still not a happy customer. Then, Step 2, I called a guy on the suggested website's list of locksmiths that made the rest of my experience with these "cheap remote keys" successful and enjoyable and very fairly priced. I called Ed at A.EJ's Locksmiths in Toms River, NJ (732-644-3537). He had the right equipment, connected it up and programmed both keys in about one minute. Both keys worked like the originals and the whole process wound up costing $125 less than the dealer's quote for one programmed remote key. Even after you have the right aftermarket remote keys for your car in your hands, you might still need to find a guy like Ed to make you a satisfied customer.
