It was shipped from overseas, and when I got it, I opened it up and although it was smaller than I anticipated, it would’ve still been working well for me if it had actually pointed in the right direction for north! While I was facing due north, it said I was facing east! The entire cardboard backing was in an Asian language, so I had no way to tell if I was not doing something right but a compass should come set already. It’s a little plastic thing so it wasn’t worth keeping and I sent it back.

Would give it zero stars if I could.Will not rotate when you turn vehicle. Mounting bracket does not allow for re-aligning the ball after you stick it to the dash/window (btw it fell off the first day in hot car with windows rolled up). The ball will only spin if it is PERFECTLY LEVEL which it never is since you cannot align it and even then, you car is rarely level to the core of the earth when you drive...Do not waste your $$$

The compass is permanently on ‘E’. Does work.Don’t bother.

This compass is in chinese and does not follow the right directions. Its wrong.
