Seems solid so far . Better than a lot others I have seen . Not as good as the old ones I used on my mill but is little larger works good for rolling logs for bucking .

Purchased this for working with a sawmill to assist in turning the logs. Purchased the small and large version. Both work great!!

Just what the headline reads, an excellent value for the price. Very sturdy & strong, but being so means it is NOT lightweight. I have rolled logs up to 22" in diameter with this using just the single cant hook (logs

It works takes some geting used to dosnt bite like the old school style but geting the hang of it holds up to being used to slide around 12' by 28" pine logs on the saw mill hasn't bent yet

We have a field of pines that are constantly falling during hurricanes and we are always needing to roll logs to cut them up with the chain saw, this affordable cant hook is easy to use and very sturdy! It rolls logs with ease and has held up well outside in all weather conditions!

Flexed on me why pulling logs. Now claw is bent to the left. It still kind of works as long as you open it by hand.

I spent considerable time researching this purchase. This is an outstanding unit for my purposes, though others might want one that's less substantial (heavy).I volunteer at the NW Railway Museum, doing track maintenance and splitting firewood for our steam locomotive. We have some very large log rounds from a tree that was felled recently. Some of the rounds are 4' in diameter, and very irregularly shaped, making it impossible to roll them to the hydraulic splitter. I chose to not install one of the bolts, to allow the jaw to open further. A longer point on the jaw would be nice, as it doesn't penetrate the bark. I use a hammer to insert the jaw into the log. The gripper end is more appropriate for my needs than the pointed one on a peavey. The 60" length is a no-brainer, as a shorter one wouldn't have enough leverage to move these rascals. This is an extremely robust unit, constructed of heavy-gauge steel tubing. I would expect it to survive the explosion of a small nuclear weapon, though perhaps not a 50 Megaton one . I'm very happy with my purchase.
