The Canon battery grips are very well built. I took away one star because button position is different enough to make you fumble around.

I bought this because another vendor that I bought my R5MKII was having an issue getting the grip from Canon. It is a tight fit and the only issue that I have with it is that it blocks the air intake on the base of the camera, which may lead to some overheating in certain situations. I overheated mine on a 75° F day shooting stills, but I was holding down the focus button to track some really jumpy kinglets. If you are doing a lot of video I would say that you should consider getting the grip with the fan in it. On the good side, having the extra battery capacity really is a nice feature on these mirrorless cameras since they tend to drain your battery fairly quickly.

No probs with this grip. Equal to the grip on my R5. Battery life all day, no worries.
