These are great for smoking fish. We use these Alder Wood Chunks in a Smokin-IT Electric Smoker for almost exclusively for fish.

Bark, dirty wood. More chips then chunks. Not worth the price. But, beggars can't be choosers.

We love getting these from Amazon cause you get a lot and don’t have to keep buying. They work great and make the smoked salmon fantastic and it makes the outside and inside smell great. We keep the patio door open so that’s why we smell it the house a little. Would definitely recommend buying these wood chips

This IS exactly what I wood expect when I buy Cherry wood chips. These are nice large kiln dried chunks of cherry tree in a large box.. absolute beauty.WARNING: If you read 'Cherry Flavored Wood" on a product, it is NOT Cherry, but a bi-product of assorted wood chips and artificial cherry scent. Don't risk it.I'm using a propane vertical smoker and I set my temp to where the wood does not yet catch fire and produce carbon monoxide, but breaks down and smokes releasing the flavor goodness.So, I am very fussy about the wood I use and this wood is exactly what I need.Cherry is a light fruitwood among the gentlest flavors of smoked food, perfect for chicken or turkey.It was delivered 10min ago, and it is in the smoker now, heating.If you were here to see and smell it, you wood be sold.I wood recomend this product to anyone serious about smoking perfection.

I bought this for my husband for our anniversary. He is a previous award winning competition pit master. Pecan was preferred smoking wood. We no longer have access to our own pecan wood, and this product is awesome!!When we get a chance these days to backyard smoke some ribs, or butts, or brisket, this wood smokes and smells and tastes like all our competitions! Memories flow back!Will continue to buy and pass down this product to our son.

I've been using the weber wood and other "bagged" products for a few months, but wanted to up my game. I figured these cost a bit more but also had less small pieces/bark/etc. in them, and that turned out to be the case. I got both oak and cherry, and instead of having to use a "handful" of chunks, I can actually just use a few chunks and get more than enough smoke. In fact, the first 18 hour smoke I did with these, I used 4-5 chunks, which turned out to be overkill--the amount of smoke coming out of my WSM was intense. Subsequent smokes, I used 2-3 chunks and this was more than enough.Overall, I can't say if the flavor is better or worse than others, but it's definitely a good value for the money.

I bought these to smoke some brisket. The wood chunks are a good size and easy to break down as needed. The oak is nicely kiln dried and smokes very well. I would definitely buy this again

I found these chunks to be very "light" almost hollow, as if they had been bored by termites. It didn't look they had been, but they just don't feel as solid as I would expect. I've only used on one short cook and one long cook, and they seemed to burn OK, but again maybe too fast for a chunk, going back to the lack of density. Right now it's the only option I have for fruit wood chunk in my location. I'll finish the box and see if they change my mind, but not sure I'll buy it again just yet.
