Please read this and beware. I bought this last fall from Camco and when I went to use it, I noticed both rubber washers did not seal the filter inside when you screw it together. It rattles around. I called Camco and they gave me the usual corporate runaround for three weeks, making me submit two different videos, showing them the problem. They just didn’t care and finally just ignored my request for a refund.I have a water tester I used with it, and it had the same level of pollutants as a cheaper, smaller RV filter that had been used for three months and needed replacement.I can’t believe I paid $70 for this and got the usual American corporate bullshit non-caring response. The photo is of the Camco filter water test after I hooked it up, that’s the quality of the water that comes out. It should be zero. If you don’t believe me, buy a Zero water filter pitcher and use the testing rod that comes with it. We RVees have to be very careful about the water we hook up to around the country, a lot of it is extremely contaminated. I highly recommend an outside Kohree water filter from Amazon, and use a Zero water filter pitcher inside your RV. You’ll notice a huge difference in the taste.

I use it with my portable RV water softener when I fill my freshwater tank. I have beautiful water. Tastes great! Also just needs a drop of soap to make lather. I put an ounce of water purifier in the filter before I start so I don’t get an algae bloom that turns it yellow and affects the taste.

Final update, I've used the filter with the replacement hose. All is good.Second Update: I received replacement hose, and it seems good. I still think they should make these with the same quality they make their drinking water hoses.First update: Within 24 hours, Camco got back to me. (good first step!) Camco offered to replace the hose with a tested one. After I receive this, and test it, I'll update this review (and my rating).Original review: I just received my Camco EVO water filter order from Amazon. The canister assembly seems pretty well designed and made. (Like there hoses). I have assembled it. When I attempted to attach the short connector hose to the canister, I discovered that it is nowhere near the same quality. The male end did not fit tightly, turned easily in the hose, and just pulled right off! (see photo) No wonder reviewers have complained of this leaking. Clearly this hose is NOT of the same quality as the fresh water hoses Camco makes. I've left a message on the support link found by clicking on the Technical Support button on the Amazon order page. I will update this review if Camco gets back to me and makes this right.What would be a more than satisfactory solution would be for them to send me a 4ft Camco water hose which can be found at this amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FD63M3P/ref=twister_B07PJVK52B?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 (They should make the connector hose for this the same way these hoses are made).I'll update this review if I get a satisfactory response from Camco with a day or two. If I don't, I'll be returning this filter to Amazon.

I haven't tested the filter efficiency yet but I'm very pleased with the over all quality and fittings that arrived packaged with this. It's very hard to fairly review the filtration efficiency unless tested alongside another unit so I cannot report on that. It's priced well and the replacement cartridge cost makes this premium unit well worth it in my mind.

This water filter made the water at the campground taste great. It is easy to hook up and take down. The only problem is the little plastic connectors leak. Since I am constantly connecting and disconnecting the hoses for the unit I added in some metal L pipes onto the plastic adapters but the plastic adapters still leak at the place where they join the water filter. I haven't really tried to make them stop leaking as they are barely leaking but I think it shouldn't be too difficult to do if the filter was permanently installed. My problem is that I am constantly moving from campground to campground so I am always moving the unit. The filter is easy to get to and the unit is easy to drain for transport. I would purchase this unit again.
