I usually buy the blue filters but I think this is a little better. I'm not sure if it's really worth the extra money or not, but it does seem to last a little longer. I still haven't changed it out and I have good water pressure and it's been on at least a month a little more probably. I probably will buy this when I can afford it and when I can I'll just use the blue ones.

We always had problems with other filters. This has a very high flow rate to get enough water to endless water heater.

We have tried other water filters in the past, but this one is by far the best we have purchased! Easy to install. No drop in water pressure. Works great for no smell and great tasting water.

I say really does work, but just a disclaimer that we did not test the water source, just our spigot. But before we got the filter, our water test came back positive for bacteria. After the filter, the test was negative. I can't say 100% the owner of the park didn't also fix the problem on his end, because we did submit our test result to the park management, too. But, the timing of the tests and the fix correlated with us getting the filter on our personal spigot. We did sanitize all of our rv lines before hooking up the filter. Please do so, too, if you have a bacteria problem! This will not clean your lines, it's not a cleaner. You will most likely have a positive test still if you don't clean your lines and tanks, as well. Bacteria does not just flush out, it has been sanitized out. We used a dilution of bleach followed by lots of rinsing out after hooking on the filter. Don't forget to either clean or replace the hose, too, if you are looking to fix a bacteria problem. Bleach is also not recommended to be used in a strong concentration (nor needed to be strong) in rv lines, it can deteriorate seals. Use bleach sparingly and only when necessary in a rv. I am not reccommending bleach use in a rv as a normal thing at all!Otherwise, installation is the same as any other inline filter, just screw it on and turn the water on. The double helpers were nice, too. We replaced both the helper on our camper and the one of the spigot to ease tension on the hose/filter hanging at angles on connections.

We are using this in the Phoenix area. The water here is awful tasting and smelling and you have to have a good filter. We have a three stage system already and added this before that. It has taken away all chlorine and any bad taste. Our other system couldn't do it. So happy we tried this!

I purchased these for two reasons. One because they are made in the USA. Secondly because it mentioned that it would filter out microorganisms. Once I received I can not find anything that mentions Micron size? I normally use 2 filters in line, 1st being a 20 micron and 2nd a 2 Micron filter that filters out microorganisms that could make you sick? This is the only reason it didn't get 5 stars.
