The cleanable and reusable strainer can stop items 150 microns or larger at the suction port of your reservoir, using a pleated element of stainless steel wire cloth (100 mesh). It's constructed tough, with bushings and leak-free bonding epoxy. The strainer installs into the wall of the reservoir and is available in a range of port sizes and flow rates

I was hoping I could use this on a new "Field tuff" tank that comes with a simple screen. Unfortunately the filter is not small enough to fit through the lip that holds the simple screen in place. (See pictures)I may grind out that lip to use it. It is a very nicely built product and very want to use it on this project.

I am using this as a sediment filter for an off-grid rain water collection system at my cabin. Threads into a PVC bushing that threads into the bung of a 55 gallon drum.

Works exactly as it should. I used this on a old home made log splitter I refurbished. My tank did not have a bung to fit this but I made a inline housing for it out of steel pipe and fittings. Small investment to protect an expensive new pump.
