Bug Bite Thing was founded in 2017 by Kelley Higney and her mother Ellen McAlister, a seasoned entrepreneur. Kelley’s daughters, like her, were both “mosquito magnets.” After many failed attempts to find relief by using creams and trying home remedies, Kelley decided to research how other countries combat insect bites. She discovered an innovative product that used suction to remove the insect saliva/venom and eliminate the itching, stinging, and swelling, instead of masking the symptoms. Amazed by the effectiveness of the product, Kelley knew she had to make it readily available and offer other families relief. In October 2019, Kelley and Ellen appeared on ABC’s hit show, “Shark Tank” and pitched to the Sharks to invest in their business. After receiving offers from all the Sharks, they decided to strike a deal with Lori Greiner. Since appearing on “Shark Tank,” Bug Bite Thing’s business has flourished and the company is on its way to becoming a global household name.

I will have to say that I was really impress how easy it was to remove a tick from me and my wife along with the dogs. I also like the fact that I can use HSA to purchase these. Where I live we have "Tick the Season" and they are coming up real soon and these get a lot of use!

These little tweezers worked well on a tiny nymph that was stuck between my dad's fingers. I was able to grab it easily and get it out. I've never seen such a small tick, but these did the job!

We live in Tick Central, so after removing a tick off my son, I realized we had truly pathetic tweezers in the house, and it was time to get some legit tick removal tweezers. I was searching for stainless steel tick tweezers, so they'd last and last.I bought two different stainless steel tweezers to try out.This brand is my favorite.Why?1) I can tell, from having to remove maaaaany ticks, that these tweezers are designed to remove ticks the RIGHT way. The company also includes a card with instructions for removing ticks the right way. Very helpful and clear.2) What I like is that the tweezer to remove a little bitty tick and the tweezer to remove an engorged tick are on different ends of the SAME TOOL. That's not the case with all brands. That means there are fewer things to loose. Everything is combined in one tool. - I have everything I need in one place.So handy.I keep the tick tweezers with the ID card in my cabinet in the bathroom. I'm going to buy more of these and stash them in every family member's car.

Reduced itching. The suction action does leave a temporary raised circular mark and you do feel the suction action like a very gentle tug. Best to warn kids or do a test run so they know what to expect. Much better solution than chemical itch stoppers.

We were pleasantly surprised at the effectiveness of the suction tool! It helped immensely to lesson and to shorten the discomfort from tick bites. It also helped with chigger bite discomfort.The tweezer is a great option - using it specifically for ticks, instead of having to use the tweezer we use for every other need in the house is a bonus!We live among wooded areas and have dogs who need walks on paths through the wooded areas so it is pretty impossible for us to avoid tick & chigger issues so my husband & I are very happy to have found these tools.

I don’t know. I really don’t notice a difference in my mosquito bites after I use this product. Not sure if it really works, but it’s easy to use.

I thought this was worth a try. I haven't tried the tick removed, but bugs like to bite me. When I get to itching, I use the suction tool, and it takes the itch away for at least that day. Sometimes I have to use it the next day as well. My grandsons (6 and 8 years old) were afraid of it at first, but once I showed them how it worked and let them test it out, they now ask for it. The suction seems to take away the itch for a while. I'm happy with this.
