Introduction to Our Tick Grabber

Function:

Prevent tick-borne disease and help fight the spread of disease.

Principle of Use:

1.Pulling the tick directly will lock its head into the skin and the tick may be snapped off that leave its body parts on the skin, causing painful inflammation.

2.Twisting the spike of tick to bend into the axis of rotation for easy removal. In this way, the risk of ticks breaking is reduced.

Reminder:

The research has shown that the ticks should be removed as soon as possible, to reduce the risk of disease transmission.

Vet Tech showed me how to use these (grab at the lowest point while pinch-raising the flesh broadly around the tick; slide the “V” up to secure the intruder and slowly twist-pull upward without um, “harming “ the little devil and transfer/baptize it in a full-immersion alcohol bath (ethyl or isopropyl is a judgement call). Live large and treat it as a single-use tool or show your weird generosity by putting them in gift baskets for friends whose pets are similarly afflicted. Be the topic of conversation when you’ve gone home.Seriously, these really work well. I just don’t know why I need so many of them. And I live in tick country.

I just pulled out a smaller than poppy-sized tick that I could not get with my fingernails. The tip looks too blunt to do the job, but the lower beveled edge really grabs the tiniest nymph. Also good for removing a tick without pulling out hair (from a dog or human) since the hair slides right through.I gave out a few to all my hiking friends since there are so many packets.

They work as they should. Didn't think to verify if they had a hole for a key ring. Wish they did.

They work perfectly, getting out the head, and you don't have to touch those nasty ticks. We give them to our friends. Ticks are so thick around here these days!!

If the v- wedge part of the pry were thinner, I think it would work better
