I've owned several cold brew carafes and this is probably the worst one. Because of the very loose lid you have to be careful shaking or stiring the grounds. The strainer is quite narrow so there isn't a lot of room to shift the grounds around. You also have to remove the strainer in order to serve the coffee. With all of that said, it still brews the coffee. Get this as a white elephant gift, not something for yourself.

Love it. We use this every single day to make our cold brew coffee. Heavy duty glass. Has worked great so far.

I love the size and shape of this cold brew maker. I wanted something that wasn't plastic and would look nice when company comes over. The interior filter is stainless, which cleans up really well.

I've put it in the dishwasher no problem, and I can even use fine grind coffee with the strainer and it left almost no residue in the bottom. The glass is thick and sturdy and doesn't retain the coffee flavours/oils or leave a taste like a plastic pitcher does.
This is nice color perfect

I am loving my new cold brewer. It is pretty, easy to use and cleans easily. Glass seems to be thin , but makes it lighter for moving. I would recommend this gem!

I am in Northern Colorado and I drink a lot of coffee, particularly in the summer. I bought this, then another (Aquach Cold Brew Coffee Maker 51oz (1.5L) rubber gaskets and such) because I wanted one brewing while while drinking/washing one and to test filter micron size. I've come to find its infinitely faster to just filter the cold brew through a regular reuseable gold coffee filter into something else like a store bought, old V8 glass-container or something. I have since started using both this and the Aquach. I have to say this one holds up.Its fairly durable, I've bonked it a few times on things turning around and was surprised the container survived, and I have a dishwasher that almost takes the labels off glass and melts things (gets super hot and has some decent jets), which this BTaT is surviving. The Aquach is great and is holding up, but rubber only lasts so long, which makes the BTaT even more desirable, since nothing here really wears out easily. I have not noticed any difference in flavor from a relatively sealed cap (the Aquach with tight rubber cap) vs this BTaT (a sitting lid, but certainly not sealed). The height is just about perfect too. 9.5 inches on the mark, which just barely fits under my biggest shelf in the fridge. I am not picky about my coffee, but I am critical of things in reviews. I bought this 28Jun2020, and it is now 17May2022 and this thing gets a weekly use (sometimes x2 per week, but not often). Solid product.

I've had about 4 different iced coffee makers over the last two years and this one has been the best one so far. It takes at least 1 day of waiting after you add in the ground coffee and put it in the fridge. 2 days is preferred to get a more even blend.Easy to clean and maintain, especially compared to the other options. My one real issue if that the glass shattered after 1 year of use. I've found iced coffee makers to have a short shelf life, and no exception here. In hindsight, a cheap warranty plan would have been a good idea. Rather than buying the same device again, I will try out a 1 gallon iced coffee maker (twice as big) that's in a similar price range as this item.

I’m not an expert at brewing cold brew coffee so take my review with that in mind. Making the coffee is simple enough. You just have to pour the filtered water slowly as it takes some time to go through the metal mesh filter. After it’s done brewing, my only issue is trying to pour it out. My first time pouring, I left the filter with the grounds inside of it as I wanted to try before the full 48 hours of brew strength, and I did get some grounds in my coffee but not a deal breaker. The coffee turned out well. After that I decided to pull out the filter and empty the grounds out of it and it pours well and the coffee tastes great. My only suggestion for it to be improved would be that you can pour your coffee with the lid on and not have grounds fall into your coffee while doing so. Over all not a bad investment with some minor tweeks for me.

We own the 1.5 and 2 quart cold brew systems from BTäT. Purchased the 1.5 qt first and really like it. It replaced another that did not have a hopper for the grounds, and was horrible to clean. The BTäT design is so much better! After owning it for a year, we needed a larger version, so purchased the 2 quart. We actually like this better, as the bottom-heavy design makes this a bit more stable. It has the same type of hopper, works in the same manner. One of the things that works really well for us is the hopper for the grounds. We are on a septic system, and keeping debris out of the drain is extremely important. The hopper is instrumental in that.We have grown spoiled with cold-brew coffee. It’s smoother, and tastes so much better than any from the coffee stands and much better than the green mermaid’s. While a lot of folks use it for iced coffee, we make hot coffee daily with our cold brew, by mixing it with hot water around 50-50. It’s delicious.
