The Dawn Redwood is a beautiful outdoor bonsai tree, with a captivating history. Found only in fossil remains, the Dawn Redwood was thought to be completely extinct. In 1941, the Dawn Redwood was rediscovered by a Chinese researcher. As the Dawn Redwood has been introduced to the west in only the last 70 years, Brussel's Bonsai grows and cultivates a range of Dawn Redwoods in the USA. These majestic bonsai trees, thrive in the outdoors in temperatures as low as 20 degrees F, and known to be quick growers. They have sturdy upright trunks with brown and red-flecked bark, and upswept branches that charming feather-like foliage. Each live plant is shipped with the Phytosanitary Certificate as required by the USDA.

I call it cousin it. It just make me smile. It has the most beautiful scent when pruning. Love it! Beautiful bark. I set it next to my ginkgo. Two of the oldest plants in the world.

Arrived well packaged (albeit styrofoam popcorn all over the neighborhood). Bonsai looks happy with new growth emerging. Was some droppage, but that's expected in the shipping process. It has a prime position in my garden. Handsome bonsai. I purchase bonsai from no other company.

It died before we could even enjoy it. I am disappointed I bought the most expensive tree as a gift from this company and it didn't stand a chance.
