My rose was exactly as pictured and bloomed in the proper stages. Even if it does not live, I will use the terrarium as the seller suggested and will root small plants.

I would not recommend this product. The first one died so I thought I would buy another one since it wasn't covered under the warranty. The second one was smaller and scrappier by far and it has also died. I followed the instructions but they still died. So now I have $40 worth of dead baby rose bushes. I do not recommend this seller.

I cannot emphasize enough what awesome gifts these were. I do not wish to deter anyone from purchasing. Just keep in mind that they ARE plants, and can be unpredictable.I purchased 2 as Christmas gifts for my mother-in-law and sister. I was so excited they arrived undamaged and adorable, neither had a budded yet. Sadly, almost a year later and, while they're both still alive, neither has ever budded let alone bloomed. They did grow pretty significantly, which led to A LOT of dead leaves and stems taking up a good amount of space in the little dome and one started to grow mold.Which makes me very sad. But it's no one's fault. Plants are plants and can't really control what they do or don't do. They were still fantastic gifts! Very unique, and adorable, conversation starters

This is a cute idea and it was cute on my desk at work for about 4 weeks. I left it alone where it gets bright yet indirect light, and have not opened the jar. It is technically still "Alive" but it is now growing white mold all over the bottom of the plant coming up through the gel. It hasn't killed the plant yet but its not looking that great now. Pretty disappointing over all.Update 08/08/23Opened it today, because we are going to throw it away it looks like there's some green left but it's been dying and shrinking, the mold has completely taken over and it smells terrible now that the top is off... this was definitely not worth it

The product description made it seem like it would be maintenance free and super easy. To its credit, the plant arrived in good condition and I was pleased at how cute it was. I placed it on an end table with lots of indirect light so it wouldn't burn and waited for it to bloom. About a week later it showed signs of dehydration so I checked the seals but it was water tight and not leaking. The plant withered a few days later. I'm very disappointed and will not purchase again.

This is not the original review, originally I gave one star because I was disappointed, the item is really small I actually thought it will be bigger but I think my conscience kicked in and I decided to up the stars because it is actually a unique item. I think if you are a plant enthusiast it grows on you. It started to wither when I received it and the dome was off (maybe that's why it was withering) I contacted the seller and they responded asap, which is good on there part. Anyways as I said it grows on you, so if you know someone who likes unusual gifts this might be the one, even if it's a gift to yourself.
