If you were fortunate enough to get one of these large cuttings count yourself lucky. They weren't available very long at this size. Mine arrived promptly 1 week. Was well packaged. It was 3.5ft long approx., 3" thick, and a vibrant green. It was ready to get growing. Started in a 1gt glass measuring cup. Roots forming within a week. It remained in the cup at least 3 weeks. Vigorous root system had formed. Brachings at the top of the cutting between 10- 20" long of which there were 6. Water changed every 2-3 days. I also dechlorinared and added 1drop of aquatic plant fertilizer every other water change. Kept It in a bay window receiving 5-6 hrs direct sunlight. Direct sun too bright, bleacing foliage. Moved in bay so that cutting only received bright indirect, it was much happier. Transplanted to pot 2 weeks ago. My mess up, soil I mixed became to compacted. Transplanted again to a much lighter mix, drains very quickly. Over compensating for now until tree regains vigor. Bottom line... such a nice tree. They grow quickly, hardy, but sensitive. If weakened it appears to be susceptible to fungus. Also pests. Another willow cutting I have developed spider mites indoors. This cutting is getting them in a different part of the house. Keep it in the proper conditions and watch for any issues early, easy to correct. I'm spraying with a neem oil (cold pressed, unfiltered), tonight. 2 applications 1 week apart for the mites. Have to be able to address errors quickly and provide good conditions. Rewarded with a beautiful tree.

Researched growing. Bought all the recommend items (pot and soil). Received a branch ( looked like one I could cut off a tree in my backyard) that grew roots and sprouted green vines. Each vine just schriveled up and died.

My tree took 6 weeks for crazy roots to be ready. I planted. Put in bonsai grow room and nope likes window indirect sunlight best well my opinion. Turned black under 3000 led light on green cycle but was not fungi’s as is fine now by window. Man I love this plant. I shall call him Fernando and will keep listening to Cher singing it!

Cut this piece into 3 parts, and they are growing like crazy. These folks understand willows.
