It lasted two sessions before it just came apart plastic was very brittle.

This toy is nice thick plastic that really stood up to the play with my dog. Lots of tug of war and retrieving but we'd put it up when not in use. One session when I paused to get the mail and she gnawed where the rope tied on. Was able to drill a hole in it, jam the rope knot in the hole and make it work again. Very durable and will definitely buy again if she fully destroys this one.

Plastic is strong. Quality is great. Durable and sturdy. It's about 10 inches with out the rope. Great toy for our dog.

This is the 2nd one we have bought. The first lasted 3 years of aggressive use by 2 dogs. The color bleached out and the part where the cord attached broke. That was OK as we used it extensively. Bought a new one and the first day out the dog punched a hole thru the embossed Oval. It is paper-thin. It filled with water by the 5th retrieve. Either someone did not check the machine operation when this one was made or corners were cut in the amount of material put in. Not putting a ball on the end of the rope is a perfect example of making it cheaper.UPDATE. The replacement lasted one day of training before holes appeared in the oval where the dummy in thin. If Browning cannot make one like our first one the 2 replacements we bought to replace the 3 year used one, well the newer ones are just junk crap. We have decided to let the dog chomp it when not in the water. Fool me once shame on me, Fool me twice, SHAME ON YOU Browning training dummy.

Figured due to brand name that this would be better quality. Consider they make hunting gear and this bumper is meant for retrial training.... bought it for an upcoming trip to use in the water ( rivers dried up where i live so can't use it in the water here) its nice abd bright, floated and you can fling it real far. And the dogs liked it, easy for them to spot too. But it fell apart after my dog and i played a couple rounds at the beach. The whole middle fell out!! Very disappointed. Not worth the money! Dogs had to bob down to find it at the bottom of the shallow waters to find it because it sank since it fell apart.

I bought 2 of these for the cottage, I have an 85lb male Labrador that we use this for for throwing into the water for him to fetch & retrieve while he is swimming. This product only lasted at most 1 week before there were all kinds of puncture holes in it from him grabbing it in mouth and swimming a back to shore. I bought 2 at the same time and both were full of holes within weeks. He was not allowed to chew on it this was strictly used for retrieving in the water. Soooo if your dog has big teeth like mine then this will puncture easy and fill with water!!!

Our lab loves this training toy. He has it in his mouth almost all day long while we are at the lake. It is well made, durable. Would buy again.

This is the 4th one we've purchased for our 2.5 yr old English lab. He's a strong swimmer and an even stronger chewer! He seems to see the orange colored one easier in the water. The white must not stand out as well. The reason for the fewer stars under durability is the ball on the end comes off almost immediately, it's small and could easily choke him. Two of them arrived yesterday to replace the ones he'd destroyed (they lasted 1 yr) and he went crazy with excitement! I've got great pictures of him retrieving them. We've tried other floats but this works really well for our labrador.

This is perfect water toy. My dog is an aggressive chewer. I only give it to her when we go to beach but she gets a few chews in anyway and no marks. I’ve had it for months and anyone with a Lab knows they will catch and retrieve until your arm falls off. I was concerned top portion that secures rope for throwing would rip from force of multiple throws. Nope, toy is as good as day it arrived. Close up is of toy after multiple trips to beach. Rock solid.

I've bought other throw toys to use in the ocean. This one is by far the best. It's got a nice weight and is easy to throw (although my elbow hurt after throwing it for 2 hours). It makes a very visible splash when it hits, and is easily viewed (by me and my dog) once it's at floating in the ocean.I tested in at the dog park before using in the ocean. The dogs chewed through the cord. It was easily and cheaply replaced with cord I bought at Home Depot some time ago. Other throw toys have fixed cord that can't be replaced easily.I'm very happy with my purchase, in fact I've bought 2 more - one for another neighborhood dog and a small one which is easier to carry on hikes.
