My dog is not a hunting dog but is 100% Retriever. The dummy weighs almost 15 oz so it works the dog when he retrieves. The product is made from cotton canvas and holds up fairly well. It traps dirt but I hand wash every use. The rope is about 16" long and is useful to throw the dummy. After three months of work, the dummy has only one string loose and there are no cuts on the exterior. Overall, this is a fun training tool.

Good for retrieval training. Is full of sand so be careful your dog doesn't chew on it or it gets poked or stabbed or something.My Golden loves it. My GSD who isnt training with this loves it too. Think he likes the texture or the weight.

My dog loves this dummy. The material of the product is strong, and it is very easy to throw. We have been using this for several months and have no tears or damage. This has easily become her favorite toy to fetch, highly recommend this to dogs new to dummy training.

Love this for my lab puppy. He loves playing fetch with this. It has held up incredibly well.He also likes grabbing the string and running around the yard with it bouncing behind him. Overall great fetch toy.

This training dummy has a nice mass for throwing and retrieving and seems well built. I have used them for training adult retrievers and they last quite well. I got two other dummies from an internationally known outdoor store but they didn’t last long. This one is better.

Very disappointed. Got this for my German Shepherd. It came today and she tore it apart at the bottom seam already. It’s not as durable as I thought it would be. She really likes it too. So if you have a dog who chews up anything, you may want to look for something else. Guess I’ll see if I can fix it with duct tape.

Nice practice bumper for retrieving practice with the dog. Gets dirty easily but a good alternative to a hard bumper for puppys. Looks to be good quality.

When I received it, it looked real sturdy at first. The canvas cover was thick and it has a nice weight to it. It felt like it would last a long time. But used it a couple times with my dog and the stitching started to come undone. Of course the stretching keep on separating and the opening got bigger after each use. After about a week and half the contents started pouring out. All this happened while I played fetch with my dog, I did not let him use it as a chew toy. I saw the same problem in other reviews. Sad to see a product that looked sturdy only to be undone by cheap stitching.

Got this for my CBR and he loves it. Taught him how to retrieve using this dummy. Unfortunately, after only a few days worth of use the stitching has come undone and the contents of the dummy are pouring out. I will try to repair this. Not as durable as I thought it would be.Update*** 09/17/17I bought another because my CBR loves it. Once again, within a few days the stitching breaks loose and it starts to fall apart. My dog is not allowed to chew this dummy, he retrieves it and when we aren't using it the dummy is out of his reach so he hasn't pulled the stitching out. Unfortunately I don't think I will buy another as they just simply fall apart.**UPDATE***10/02/17I contacted the company and informed them of the issues I had, they shipped me two brand new dummy's. GREAT customer service!
