I tried this out recently in the drain pan of my ac to help to break up some built up that had been forming. This seems to have done the trick and gotten it flowing in the format it should be. I have been told to keep adding something like this or a bleach based product to make sure the pipes drain out in my attic correctly and this just makes the process more simple. Now I do not know if you really need to run this every month, maybe every 5 or 6 months might be a better bet as far as I have seen. Overall the product seems to be ok and helped to stop a drip that was becoming a problem.

I didn’t notice any improvement in my AC drain line after using this product, so I’m unsure if it made a difference. Additionally, both caps appeared to be defective, as they leaked significantly. In fact, by the time I opened the package, most of the contents had already leaked out. Overall, the product’s effectiveness is questionable, and the defective packaging is a major inconvenience.

I was told many years ago by an AC tech to pour ½ cup of either vinegar or bleach into my AC line monthly to help maintain my AC. He told me this would help prevent algae growth which in turn would mean less stress on my AC system making it last longer. I admit to knowing practically nothing about HVAC, but I’ve followed his advice to do that and keep my filters clean and so far my AC is still going strong.I’ve often wondered if those substances could potentially cause deterioration of the pipes though. Both are rather harsh. Again, I know nothing about the system, this is just a concern that I have. I was pleased to find there are alternatives. I ordered Brodys A/C HVAC Drain Line Cleaner to see how it would do. It’s easy to use, just turn off the AC, pour down the pipe, let it sit for 20 minutes, pour hot water down the pipe, then turn AC back on. I followed the simple instructions and treated my AC line with Brody’s instead of bleach this month. The product doesn’t have a strong or unpleasant odor, that makes it more pleasant to use than bleach.I wondered how I would know if it had been effective since I can’t see inside the pipes. (There’s no visible algae where I pour it in.) I got my answer the next day. My AC drains onto some paver stones. The stones were tinged green with algae growth. After using this AC cleaner I noticed that the paver stones were no longer green. I’m taking that as a positive sign. If it’s tackling algae outside of the system, I’m trusting that it’s doing the same inside. I live in a hot humid environment; I want to give my AC as much TLC as I can. I feel this product helps me do just that.****About me: Integrity is very important to me. Reviews I've posted will be from items I've had direct contact with. These are my honest opinions. Let me start out by saying I didn't have a clogged condensate pipe. That said, mine had not been cleaned in 7 years. I followed the directions, allowing it to drain into the condensate pump. That pump has a clear vinyl hose attached to it. That hose is very cloudy and dirty. I thought it would be cleaned or at least a little more clear after use of this product. Unfortunately, I didn't see a change (see pic). Additionally, the bottle says to use once per month. Based on the per bottle price, that's about $120/year. Honestly, I'd pass. Thanks.

I haven’t had any condensation draining issues since I started using this, and my pipe goes straight down and under the foundation. No clogs, excellent value, no nasty smells and works great. I've also used it in my self drain dehumidifier with great success. 100x yes for this product.

I was struggling with a partially clogged second floor AC drain line. I tried some home remedies, then tried this. I noticed for a few days the line was less clogged, but I ultimately had to call an AC professional to flush the lines. I asked him about this, and he said the home remedies work better, if you use them on a regular schedule.
