If you’re objective, is just to change the exhaust fan you have for more or less the same, then this will be a good fit for you. It does fit well and it is of good quality. However, if your objective was to reduce the noise your exhaust fan makes, then you just wasted your money. This product is almost identical to the original. Maybe just a tiny bit less noise than the original but not worth buying if the objective is the noise factor. Do not waste your money and buy a cheap replacement one.

The installation process was quick and straightforward, especially with the clear video instructions to supplement the paper instructions. Product was well-packaged and came with everything needed to upgrade my dated fan and maintain the existing housing. The louvered cover looks nice and the fan is very quiet in comparison to what I was used to. I will likely be upgrading the other fans in my home soon based on this great experience.

Initially it was a little bit of a tight fit in my existing ceiling exhaust fan opening but with some effort I was able to get it installed and operational...

THIS is the kit to get!! it is exactly as pictured for a variety of Models. Instructions are included. I replaced my old Broen bath fan after Years and years of service (i'm not sure but I think the one I had was installed around 1975 ! it may have been older!! This kit is Just as heavy duty and quality made as the old one Plus it is quieter and has more power and really good air flow. Installation was a breeze - you just have to make sure it is about level to work otherwise the vanes may scrape against the housing in your ceiling. Once I figured out the very minor adjustment I needed - it worked perfectly. AND the updated fan cover is a sleek update to my old one. Quick delivery and if you need it there is a Customer Service Phone number... what more could you ask for? worth everyy penny - Thank You Broan-NuTone!!

This is a great kit to upgrade an old Broan/Nutone bathroom fan. Our fans were 30+ years old and a couple of them were pretty noisy. Rather than replace the entire fan unit, which would have entailed pulling the old on out from up in the attic, I tried these. Easy installation - the old assembly popped right out of the housing and the new one popped right in! I also needed to clean 30 years of accumulated dust out of the assembly which was a bit messy but easier than going into the attic. A cheaper alternative would have been to buy a whole new fan assembly and scavenge it for the motor/ fan assembly and cover, but this kit has a more powerful motor and seems a bit quieter. Good and easy solution!

Was looking for a simple 1:1 replacement for a 28-year old bathroom exhaust fan. A fogged up mirror was making shaving into a bigger chore than it already is. This kit yields increased performance, a quieter fan, and a fresh look for your bathroom ceiling. (That old, yellowed plastic fan cover has seen better days.) You can go budget and replace just the motor, or use this very complete kit which includes a new, updated fan cover, clear instructions and two options for the metal plate which holds the motor. This kit also includes a stiff plastic baffle which when installed, provides a collar around the fan wheel increasing efficiency. My old fan was missing this piece, although the tabs were there to accomodate the new one. Be sure to measure carefully before ordering. Mine is 7.25 x 8". Guessing this kit will fit 90% of the contractor-grade fans installed in the last 30 years.

We had 22 year old Braun fans in our two bathrooms that were noisy and inefficient. I contemplated how best to replace these annoying fart fans, and after a bit of research on Amazon I found these direct replacement fans and decided to give one a try. The kit can with two mounting plates, a baffle, a plug in motor and a squirrel cage style fan, rather than the inefficient and noisy flat fan style fan. The in ceiling housing is not replaced, rather just the mounting plate, motor and fan are replaced. Given my style of in ceiling housing I did not need to use the included baffle, my housing already had the baffle. The instructions were straight forward and the upgrade was accomplished in less than 15 minutes, which included time to clean the dust out of the in ceiling housing. I have a lot of construction experience but if you don't have such experience you shouldn't have any issues installing this straight forward and simple upgrade.Based on my happiness with the first upgrade I purchased another kit and upgraded the second bathroom as well. Both fans are definitely quieter and move more air then the 22 year old original fans.

I had a noisy old Broan 671 that claimed to be 2.5 sonnes. The only fan I could find that was a direct fit for the opening was 6 sonnes, despite being basically exactly the same fan. I finally found this replacement assembly. Even though it's rated at 3 sonnes, it's quiet than he fan it replaced. It snapped right into place and was easy for me. It's not super quiet, but I'd say it's the perfect volume for privacy without being too loud to where everyone in the house knows someone's dropping a deuce in the bathroom. Tbe downside and reason for 4 stars? The price. There's no reason this fan and motor assembly should cost over $60 when a new fan with the assembly and housing is $35. This item should be priced the same or lower than an entire vent fan assembly.
