Direct swap on my Coleman KT196, fit great and worked great. Glad it has an extra cord as well. Decided to go with red over the usual black to make it stand out more and match other parts of the go cart, and it looks great with good paint quality.

I installed it, went to go ahead and pull start the engine/turn it over on no compression, meaning no spark plug to cause compression stroke and the pull start only worked for 3 pulls than got stuck "the teeth" got stuck open and wouldn't close then immediately did only to fall apart inside the engine cover shroud! I was looking forward to this chrome one to replace the beat up pull start that I was using with a zip tie for a cord but bro, this was absolute garbage, all I did was waste my time waiting for it and burn my money on something that showed up only to be thrown away....... and like, what are my choices now but to spend more money on another one and hope that one works the right way!? Smh.

The handle on the pull cord should be more solid. Works as it should other wise. Perhaps don't buy this product for a built engine.

Perfect replacement pull-start assembly for my kids go cart. These little brutes try to start this go cart by ripping the engine off the frame. Luckily this easily replaceable pull-start assembly can be replaced by 3 screws. I’m sure I’ll be buying another soon unless I can tame my little ones.
