We’ve been using an ear thermometer for years and years and it was time for a new one. This product did not disappoint. Works quickly and barely needed to review the instructions since it’s so simple to use. The price on Amazon was better than Target or other Big Box pharmacy’s.

Works better than forehead thermometer for accuracy. Reads up to 1° higher, which can be the difference between fever or no fever. Easy to read color coded light out put - blue for low(did not get a reading), green for normal, red to indicate fever - with number read out of course.Comes with 81 disposable filter covers and batteries included.

This thing is awesome!At first I tried an Amazon-popular and well reviewed no-touch--the kind of cheap, weird brand stuff Amazon seems to thrive on these days. Readings were wildly inconsistent no matter what I did. 93.5, 98.2 etc. Totally unreliable. Returned.Then I got the Braun.Yesterday morning, it said my temp was 97.3. A little later, my doctor tested my temp by mouth to be 97.2, and an hour later a nurse tested by mouth at 97.4. I'd say the Braun was dead on! Day to day readings have also been pretty consistent.It's fast, it's easy and it's reliable. The only things it's not is the kind of cheap no-brand you have to wade through to find it.

I had a braun for years it finally broke and I thought id try out a cheaper one. Regretted that big time!! So reordered this one and what a difference! Way more accurate!! Love the back light on this one too!

Forgive that tacky joke, please, even thought it’s true. Or is that just the fever making me delusional? We’ve been using Braun Thermoscan for almost 20 years. Simply said, the 5 and 6 are equally reliable with one key difference: The essential light for nighttime use. You will often find the 6 on sale. Be sure yours comes with the plastic case to slip into. That’s a must to keep everything much cleaner, including the box of probes that can fit inside it. Lastly, we tried the 4 recently since it has a light a bargain price. That model is a big avoid. Not accurate, very flimsy and no better than any Chinese knockoff.

My partner has cancer and in between hospital stays has to monitor her temperature regularly, this is easy to use, very accurate, I did comparison tests with another thermometer and no problems, battery life is good, light and easy to handle, highly recommended.

I have a 20 year-old digital Braun thermometer that is STILL working perfectly, but I needed another for travel. This one looks different but has the same accuracy and more importantly - ease of use.1) Push the ON/OFF button2) Place in ear canal3) Push blue button. BEEP. Temp displayed.Takes seconds. It doesn't get any easier than that! It comes with 3-packs of disposable hygienic covers If you're the only one using it and have nice clean ears - you don't have to use a new cover each time. It does other fancy stuff like store previous temperature readings but I don't use that feature.The shipping and product box is all in one. Nice to see a company cut down on waste. I find the first temperature to be the most accurate .If you keep putting it in and out and fussing with your ear - your ear canal may warm up. I like to get a reading in each ear. Usually one ear is warmer than the other but should be within a small increment.I couldn't find this at the stores and tried some no-name brand that scans your forehead. Complicated. What a pain and kinda gross sliding on foreheads and hairline - not accurate either. Just buy this Braun from Amazon and avoid running around town!
