I bought this to upgrade the current torch I use for my sand casting system. This torch heats up the crucible and metals quickly making it efficient for my work. It's simple and straight forward. Not many moving parts. For the short time I've been using it I'm happy with the purchase and can't beat it for the money.

I needed to downgrade from my giant foundry burner and let me tell you, this thing is amazing for small stuff. I've been melting aluminum bullets all day with it. Looking at 50°ish, windy weather, so not idle for smelting, but this burns down aluminum like popsicles. Has a hard time with brass and copper, but I'm also open burning in a steel laddle. No foundry or crucible. I believe with sane conditions, it could easily do the trick. Doesn't fit my propane tank, but it fits my small green Coleman canisters, and I can refill those from my propane tank. One 1lbs canister last all day of casual melting.

The torch head produces a nice flame and the valve does well at adjusting the intensity. HOWEVER, this torch leaks... despite having two valves.I sweated some copper pipes shortly after taking delivery. My normal routine was to just shut off the valve and return the torch/tank to my plumbing box. A few days after putting it away, I had to get back in my plumbing box and the gas fumes about knocked me out. I checked the tank and it was tight. The gas was flowing out the nozzle, despite both valves being closed tightly.New routine: Disassemble the hose assembly and tank for storage.

This propane torch is made with extremely good parts and components. The torch works very well, much better than its competitors and for a cheaper price. I was unsure if the hype was real about this blowtorch but I'm here to tell you now that it's a great buy quality parts you get what you pay for! I'll try to post a video later go out and get this one! I'm a trusted reviewer with many reviews and I'm very honest. I have plenty of great reviews and a number of bad reviews. It might take a while to get to you for the shipping, but it's totally worth it.

This torch is much better and seems to heat up rusty bolts etc. more quickly than the standard pipe soldering torches or even cheap map gas torches you get at the hardware or auto parts stores.I bought an extra adapter so I could put the torch directly onto the propane bottle, but the gas hose has come in handy a couple of times for places that would require the propane tank to be held at an angle that would cause liquid propane to flow into the torch which usually puts it out, so that's nice to have around too.
