This trim is a bright gold color and kind of sparkly. I plan to use it on holidays crafts (specifically, stockings for the new grands in the family). Sometimes braided trim comes unwound after it's cut; this was stiff enough that it stayed put after cutting. The trim (16 whole yards!) come wound around a flat cardboard base inside plastic--safe to ship and easy to store.

This is a very pretty red/green/and gold braid that really sparkles. It is about 3/4" wide and is carefully wrapped around a piece of cardboard and then put into a zip lock bag. I checked it out and there are no breaks or spliced pieces in this 6 yard piece.I didn't unwind the 6 yard piece, but did measure the distance around the cardboard and multiplied it by the number of wraps. I do believe that this piece of braid measures about 6 1/3 yards -- or about 12" extra. That's a nice surprise!The braid will ravel when cut so I will wrap a piece of tape around the braid where I intend to cut it and then snip it apart right in the middle of the tape so both cut ends are held tight. That way the unused portion will stay in perfect condition and the piece I cut will stay together until I finish the ends by either sewing through it several times or tucking it into a seam allowance and sewing the seam so the braid end is caught. Because it is dense I will be sewing it to my projects by machine, using a longer than normal stitch length to account for the thickness of the braid.This will be perfect for trimming Holiday crafts like stockings, gift bags, or decorations. With 6+ yards to use, this year the decor will definitely be bright and shiny!

This trim was the perfect gold colored I needed to trim the skirt of a dance costume, and it looks great on the costume. The only problem with it, is it’s starting to unravel in places, even though it’s sewn on
