I needed a narrow horsehair braid for doing the hem of a wedding dress, to give the hem some stiffness and shape.It is very stretchy, so care is needed when stitching to lightweight fabrics. Best to go a slow speed with sewing machine. Local store was out of stock, so I thought I would try Amazon. Price is good for 22yds.

I used the stiff polyester white horsehair braid to make a hem stiff for a dance costume. The braid was perfect. It made the hem fold in ripples which was exactly the effect desired.
