The holes in the back rubbed the back of my leg so bad I had to stop wearing. Found a different design with a solid support that works great

I like the brace with the fabric wrapped around the top. It is more comfortable that plain plastic.

The heel doesn't fit well in the shoe and the piece that fits around the calf is uncomfortable. I'll send it back and get another one. Thank you!

Straps slopy fit as you can see in photo . The hook portion should be also on the entire strap so the loop can attatch and secure the extra length of straping. Poor design or just cheap cost cutting design

This AFO works well as my indoor AFO. It is not as bulky as my other AFO, though it still provides relief for my left foot drop foot.

This light-weight brace helps keep my foot positioned correctly as I walk, without unduly limiting the action of my ankle. I was concerned that the foot plate would be too flat, since my orthotic would not fit either inside or beneath it in my athletic shoe, but it has enough built-in arch support to prevent my plantar's fasciitis from kicking up (though it might not be the right amount for everyone). I do want a little padding from ankle socks when I wear it. And I put some moleskin cloth on the inside of the calf panel to keep my skin from sticking to the plastic. But overall, it's relatively easy-on, easy-off, particularly when I leave the brace in the shoe and simply unfasten both the shoe and the velcro straps to slip my foot out. In putting it back on, the calf portion of the brace acts as a kind of shoehorn, letting me slip the foot back into place before retying the shoe and fastening the two velcro straps. The straps are quite long; I shortened mine and added another bit of velcro to avoid having extra-long pieces flapping around between my calves.

I've been buying this style of AFO for several years from different vendors. It works great for me and prevents my foot from dropping and avoids tripping. I would highly recommend it to anyone with foot drop issues. From my experience, all the suppliers seem to use the exact same plastic part. It is very durable, fits inside my shoe, and is comfortable. The difference between vendors is the velcro strapping used to wrap around the shin. Some are heavily padded, and some are not padded at all. The velcro in the heavily padded ones wears out the fastest, since the little hooks clog up with fuzz. Once that happens, they don't stay attached to my leg, and I have to use a supplemental strap which is a nuisance. I think the strap from this particular supplier will last longer than the others, but might be slightly less comfortable. By the way, the lower strap became unglued immediately and fell off. I can get along without it.
