It's good at stabilizing the foot and the air pockets are on the foot as well as around the ankle/calf, but are some design flaws.1) It will inflate the boot as I walk. I think this is in part due to the blue pump button being at the front. As your weight rocks forward and backward it inflates. This requires the deflation of the boot every 100 steps when out for a walk.2) The air pockets over the toes/metatarsals are not distributed evenly. This put more pressure on my 5th metatarsal on my left foot, which I had broken. There was no air pressure on the instep or big toe.3) The velcro at the ankle wore away the fabric and the air tube to the release valve is now visible. It works, but go in knowing it has some limitations. When I have it "just right" I can be in it for most of the day with occasional need to deflate the built up pressure. I'm also likely more active than the average person with a broken foot, if that is any reason for the above notes.

I had Tarsal Tunnel release surgery in my right ankle and the boot they gave me was very tall so I thought this might work better for me. It did not unfortunately. It’s massively heavy I felt like a transformer walking around with it on and it does not hold your foot in place or stay in place once inflated, so it ends up rubbing on my incision, of course very painful. I will be returning.

I’m hoping it’s just the one boot I ordered. I had to constantly deflate it throughout the day. It would inflate on its own. It didn’t do this the first two weeks but it started on my third week of wearing it (about 12hrs a day).

I have two of these walker braces. They are durable and do an excellent job supporting my Achilles when it decides to act up. It's a great brace. You won't be disappointed.D.Comeaux

When I wear it, and if I have the pump totally closed, and I have not pumped it it pumps on its own as I’m walking, but other than that, the fit it was it’s still kicking because I’m wearing it every day the value of money I think it was well spent. I just don’t like that little part about walking and it just gets tighter and tighter.

This is a great product. Measure witdh of the heel of your foot. Maybe go up 1 size to account for swelling. Comes with pads for adjustment. You don't want it too loose. This is a stable, sturdy boot that is very costly if you get it from urgent care. And this one seems of higher quality.

I sprained my ankle really bad and this boot made all the difference. I used crutches and they didn't work and when I was called to fly out to another city I ordered this boot. It made all the difference. I was able to walk through the airport, at a slower rate, and walk through my destination city as well. One improvement I would make on the boot is to put rubber (like the sole part) on the tip of the boot. When bending down to tie my (good foot) shoe the boot slipped a lot on the hard plastic its made of.

Size was perfect, comfortable and did the job. Broken toe, needed something better than the hard show given by the medical center. Made it easier to get around.
