You need to take the pressure off the sting so I hope you have a press. Then separate the strings and slide in. Once in the string looks like its going to cut right through the jax's. Tried it a few times and they stayed in place. As far as noise I notice no difference with or without. Haven't found any product that reduces crossbow noise when fired.

I have used them for a couple of years now. They work and last as long as you do not twist your string to many times around. It will pinch and cut them in half the fourth or fifth shot from your crossbow. Then you will be replacing them. But they do tame the popping sound from the string.

Thought these were the same as the ones that came with my crossbow they are not. These seem to be a softer rubber and didn't last very long before tearing out.
