Old school pencil sharpener. Does need longer screws than what is provided, but it woks great. I really like that there's a blade replacement option so I bought this unit over other options.

Outstanding product makes me happy that old tech is still the best. The pencil sharpener works like a dream, never saw a pencil so sharp. Only ding and this is minor, the screws that are provided seem a bit short for a wall mount (maybe I'm just a little overzealous when sharpening) so I replaced them. Secondly the diagram on the box appears to indicate that you pull the cutter out to clean or mount. Actually, you unscrew the handle counterclockwise while holding the cutter.

I have a manual sharpener from another brand and prefer this one. It feels well made and is very sharp. It works extremely well. Mounted to my work bench in my shop. At $10 I was so impressed I bought another one to gift to my buddy for his workshop.

When I took the box out of the insulated bag that it came in along with two other items, the top of the box was skewed partly open, and the box was twisted. When I opened it, the bag inside, that housed the sharpener) was also open and skewed.The sharpener is fine (totally intact). So I looked for instructions and perhaps some screws, inside the box. There were none.OK...no worries about no instructions. On the back of the box, there is a diagram that denotes what everything on the sharpener is (which I already knew, anyway).However, down at the bottom left corner, the mount is pointed out, and it says:"Easy mount base INCLUDES SCREWS [caps mine] FOR IMMEDIATE MOUNTING TO THE WALL OR DESKTOP.Those words are repeated in Spanish [Easy-mount base includes screws for immediate mounting to wall or desk]...and French [Easy mounting base includes screws for immediate wall or desk mounting].GUESS WHAT? No screws included.I checked the shipping bag, and there was not a bag of screws, or even any loose screws in the bag. The bag had been SECURELY fastened, and there were NO HOLES in the bag.So...either someone at the location of shipment either STOLE the screws, or the box had been damaged BEFORE shipment, creating the loss of the screws.I'm NOT going to worry about that. My husband and my son-in-law have a TON of "loose screws" (and I'm NOT talking about their personalities...grin). Both of them keep all the screws that come out of other things that are "dead and buried."So my pencil sharpener will be soon put to use.I DID WANT TO MAKE THIS REVIEW, THOUGH, so that if this happens to anyone ELSE, a regular report might be made.

Llego en el tiempo prometido. Aunque tiene algunas diferencias con los sacapuntas antiguos de ese tipo, se ve fuerte y de buena calidad. Las puntas las saca bien. En general me gusto

1 stern für schnelle lieferung + massiv metallausführung, ansonsten: verzwickt zum entleeren zu öffnen, dto. verstellen der stiftgröße, spitzt schlecht, es bleibt einseitig holz stehen + die mine wird teilweise brüchig.

I received this sharpener yesterday and I couldn't wait to try it out. My daughter loves drawing and painting so there were literally over 100 pencils I needed to sharpen...so I wasted no time putting it to work.My wife wanted an electric sharpener so she was a little disappointed when she realized I ordered the manual one ( I guess after 12 years of marriage, I still have some rebel left in me;) ).This sharpener works great but you do have to secure it to a shelf or table with screws(provided) to get the most out of it. I tried to use it with the mound and just holding the sharpener with my hand but it does not work well if it is not fully secured. Once I figured that out, I found a shelf in one of the working closets i didn't mind drilling three holes into and I went to work. Within 25 minutes I've had over 100 pencils sharpened. Not one time did it break the tip of a pencil. I do not know why, but this thing sharpens color pencils much better than the regular lead #2 pencils. No complaints though.I had to change the tray about 4-5 times in the process and unhooking the tray without spilling some of the pencil shavings proved quite difficult...but I am a clumsy guy so it could be me.Overall, I am happy with the product and the choice I made as far as manual vs electronic goes. There is a certain romantic touch to the manual process and I had my wife's and daughter's approval when they saw the end result...up until the point where my daughter accidentally pocked herself in the lips with one of the really sharp pencil...at which point it was decided by the female ruling majority in my family that this sharpener simply makes pencils too sharp... I just can't win...
