I was looking for a good sharpener for my colored pencils. I was recommended this one on social media and it was worth it. Now I recommend this to anyone looking for a good sharpener! Easy to use, great sharpening ability, great size and design.

It's absolutely amazing. Works exactly as it's supposed to. The number one setting sharpens my Ticonderoga in the same way it came pre-sharpened. Great stuff.

This is a great little pencil sharpener! I wanted one that could put the more obtuse or wider angle point on pencils. When my pencils get to golf pencil length I use this sharpener on them.

This is a very nice pencil sharpener - much nicer than I expected. I use it for colored pencils, but I would guess that it works well for lead pencils and maybe even eyeliner pencils. You can dial in the type of pointy you would like - from short and robust to very long and narrow. It does not contain a lot of shavings, but that is minor to me because I ordered two more when my cat mistook one for a toy. It is inexpensive, so that was feasible for me. A cool tool!

This is one very nice sharpener! It’s adjustable, it’s quiet, it’s easy to use, it’s small, it works wonders on sketching pencils to have that high point and prismacolors for that perfect blunt point. It’s very easy to use, it’s a great manual sharpener and it gets the job done fast. Easy to carry and very portable. It doesn’t have the biggest holding chamber in it so emptying it is a frequent thing which is its only flaw. I would definitely buy this again because of the prismacolors.

My quest for the perfect handheld sharpener for my beloved Prismacolors FINALLY has ended.. I'm so grateful to have found this!! No joke i have a small bin of every type of handheld sharpener out there that I collected during my hunt for the perfect sharpener that won't break my Prismacolors but still sharpens them perfectly without breaking off the point or crack the whole barrel and lead! I tried the little simple metal ones, ones made for kids crayons and even bought eyeliner sharpeners for makeup in my desperation. This sharpener has 5 different settings that enables you to choose how long of a point you need or want. Also it works just as good for hard oil based pencils such as delis and polys too. It makes a crazy long sharp point on the polys at setting number 5. For soft pencils like Prismacolor setting number 2 is perfect! I don't like the noise, dust, mess and bulky space of hand crank or electric sharpeners. I had my first t gal for a whole year of very intensive use before I had to replace it with a new one. My only complaint is that the little door to close the hole of the opening of the sharpener stopped closing all the way at the end. But I think that was my fault for being lazy and not emptying out the chamber when it got full. I do that alot and "forget" to empty out the shavings. One essential art tool I couldn't be without. However brutfuner squares and Derwent inktense are a tad too big to fit in the hole to sharpen. But seriously if your still looking for the perfect Prismacolor sharpener look no further!

I have tried 7, yes 7 different sharpeners like this over the years. From Staedler, prismacolor, Faber Castel, Derwint, you name it and not a single one I thought was good. They all had issues with trying to get a fine tip without breaking. I ran across this one it was mentioned in an art blog I was reading and thought might as well try it out and OH MY GOD I am glad I did. Absolute game changer. This is by far the best sharpener you can get it blows the others out of the water. You can get nice long tips, short tips, everything in-between it just works soooo dang good its some kind of sorcery I swear. I bought 2 more cause they are so cheap and keep them in different parts of the house so I dont have to go looking for it ever. Thank you to whoever designed this thing, its saved me $$ from not breaking so many tips trying to get a good point, especially with prismacolor pencils I used to break tips constantly with other sharpeners but not this one. LOVE IT. I am going to buy more to give as gifts.

This sharpener has a dial that closes the top of the sharpener (to keep graphite dust from sifting out) and then chooses the shape of your point. There are five sharpening angles, from obtuse to acute angle. That way you can control the length of the point. The sharpener comes in various colors, from pink, blue, black, transparent lavender, transparent clear, transparent grey. For "serious" look, the black, transparent black (smoke grey) and clear. In terms of "attractiveness" I think the clear lavender is the prettiest. From time to time, special colors are made, like orange and lime green.I got the clear white to be able to see the shavings inside. The back slides off like a battery cover to let you empty your shavings.I have several sharpeners for my pencils (color and graphite) and by far this is my favorite. The flat shape fits well in a pencil case. You turn the dial to open it so there is no cap to fiddle with (or lose.)Highly recommended for pencil users. If you are filling up a pencil case for a student or art hobbyist, this is the sharpener I would choose over any others.
