I bought this since my previous jigsaw is over 30 years old (Craftsman) but still works. However the Bosch has better features and has a guide for the blade which really helps with cutting straight and square cuts. Looks well made. No real complaints since it is quite a step up from my old jigsaw. Will see if this one lasts 30 years.

This Bosch jig saw has all that is needed for a good price - adequate power, accuracy. The blade changing mechanism is a dream to use with no keys, screw drivers, hex wrenches needed. Nothing to run for, nothing to lose. I would recommend it.

Magnífica.Lo único que no me gusta es que no incluya ni la guía de corte recto ni el sistema de recolección de aserrín y se vendan por separado.Me gustaría también que se pudieran conseguir la zapata plástica y la guía antiastillas o al menos, no he tenido la suerte de encontrarRecomiendo mucho está herramienta, ten cuidado con el cable, no lo vayas a cortar

As a novice woodworker, I am very satisfied with this tool. It cuts quickly and smoothly with very little tear out. Its' speed and cutting adjustability are adequate for both hard and soft woods. I would definitely recommend this tool.

Fantastic l do love this . First of all the quality is amazing, I had a lot of jigsaw ( all were cheap and did not do what it was intended to do). I will definitely buy this again for my brother.

This is a powerful and very well built saw. What I really love is the little blower that blows sawdust from in front of the blade so you can see what you are cutting. I do not understand why other jigsaws have a light but no blower. The light on those models just illuminates the sawdust in front of the blade. With this saw you can see exactly what you are cutting. The case it came in is very solid as well.

Lo que me gusto es La fuersa de la caladrora, lo Unico que no incluia ere El tubo para conectar la aspiradora. Me did cuenta porque, en la maleta para guardar la caladrora , ay espasio para guarda. No lo incluille El producto. SE vender por separado. Me gusto muncho la calidad y la fuersa. Y lo muncho que se puede corta con estas herramietas.

This saw replaced a Bosch 1587 jigsaw. The mechanism for locking in the blade failed on that unit, but this one has a much easier to use, better-designed locking system. To change a blade, you flip a lever up, pull out the current blade, insert a new one, and flip the lever down. In addition, the saw handles well and has a means of blowing sawdust out of the kerf when you need to so you can see what you're doing. It typically comes in a well-designed case, unlike some DeWalt tools that come in giant cases. There's an add-on dust collection accessory thatreally ought to included in the kit. The direct competitor to this Bosch is DeWalt's 331 jigsaw, which has a similarly quick mechanism for changing blades, although the design is different. When I compared the two mechanisms, the Bosch's looked more robust, but the two are quite similar in terms of capability.

Got this when I decided to build a boat over the summer and I needed a jig saw for the complex cuts. I love it, great responsiveness, control, and with jig it works well for my straight cuts so I don't have to keep borrowing a skill saw from the neighbors. Motor is nicely powerful, has stood up for dozens of hours of cutting, mad fast work of 2x4s. Button is nicely responsive to control speed while making complex cuts. Blower does a nice job keeping site line clear. As far as the blade exchange, I wouldn't use any other brand, looking at them I can see why others have broken, using the spring to keep the blade in in the same force direction as the cutting. This one is clear it will hold up, and works for very fast change outs, just make sure you only get T blades- I just bought the Bosch multi blade set. Overall, had to pay 100 dollars, but would highly recommend it, like the size and weight more than the 7 amp or 6 amp (also blade exchange is better), and it is standing the test of time much better than the cheaper ones would.

I've shied away from using a jig saw for any precision wood working mainly because the jig saw I have is an old black & decker saw that the blade wanders on and it only has 2 speeds. I also mostly use a band saw but this Christmas I was building a quilt rack that had several curves and the piece was to large to manage on the band saw so I used this opportunity to purchase a better jig saw. The Bosch cut through 2" red oak like it was butter with out bogging down and the sides of the cut were square with no burning. I was able to cut up just shy of the line and finished with light sanding on my drum sander. The balance on the Bosch is just right for me and no vibration and the dust blower keeps the cut line clear for easy visibility. The quality and the price is awesome. I would have given it 5 stars but the saw doesn't have a light which isn't too bad because I have good lighting but in a darker area this could be a problem for some people. Amazon was fast on shipping as they always are and the packaging was good.
