I bought this shaft 6 years ago for my 07 dodge 2500 and the universal joints started making clunking about a year after i installed it and the 2 universal joints are not really made as a direct replacement. The set screws are not the same as the factory ones you are replacing so they really never tighten and I am constantly having to snug them back up. I contacted the company about the issue of the universal joints being loose and was told that I would have to remove them and send them in to determine if they would be replaced under warranty well I don’t know how many people are able too go without their vehicle for a couple of weeks but I am not one of them. So I purchased 2 replacement universals for just over one hundred dollars and they were fine for about a year and I started having problems again. Why am I finally writing a review now well I just spent a couple of thousand dollars replacing everything in the front end including a top of the line steering box and it’s frustrating to have a clunking noise and feeling in the front end. So I am in the process of finding a replacement and noticed that amazon sells this shaft and if one person reads this and does not go through the same struggles I have then the 10 minutes spent writing this was worth it.

Well worth the money. Install took less than an hour. Directions were simple and easy to follow. Completely fixed the steering play and rattle in the wheel. After riding so long with my old steering shaft it's weird not having the constant rattling when going over bumps in the road. Drives like it just rolled of the showroom floor

Fits 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 QC 4x4s. Fixes the play in the steering wheel. Does require cutting the old steering shaft apart to take the firewall plug off of though. No big deal.

Perfect fit for my 2002 Dodge R1500 4x4. Lower universal joint on the original shaft was worn out leaving much play in the steering. I felt comfortable ordering this Borgeson shaft because I replaced the worn out column joint in my 1985 Dodge W250 years ago and that was a great fix as well.

Shipping was fast. I called technical support during the installation and they were very helpful. This shaft got rid of all the play in the steering on my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 and it made the long trip I just made more enjoyable since I didn't have to wrestle with the steering the whole time.
