I'm not sure if 1 compressed soil pallet is supposed to expand more or not. But the pictures in this listing item shows much more soil. I feel like there should have been more soil or disclosed how much or if you're supposed to fill it with more soil later on. Like how is the seed supposed to get sunlight during germination if the soil is very low in the provided sack pot. Honestly the soil I had didn't expand much more than its original size as a pallet. Did I do something wrong? I added plenty if water like it said. Wish there was a video to how to properly do it. I was excited for this but now I'm very doubtful in this kit. The soil doesn't seem enough. At least not like the pictures. Other kits show the soil pallets expanding much much more like a whole popcorn bowl filled. The directions don't clarify to add more soil or not. There needs to be better explanation. I feel like I'm not doing this right

This is a great little kit. I only have seedlings, but hopefully they';; turn into real trees. You get a variety of seeds as well as all you need to get started. Would make a great gift.

I loved everything in the kit, the instructions for germination were clear and easy to follow. My only complaint is the lack of soil. They give you two disks for five sacks, luckily I have my own soil, so not a huge issue.

This is a very cute little starter set. For what it is, the little canvas pots make sense, but I don't think they would be good for housing the bonsai trees long-term, so I'll be getting a more permanent pot. There are about 20 seeds each and seem like they'll germinate fine. Looking forward to growing some cute baby trees!

I’m giving this Bonsai tree kit five stars at this time. I have encountered one problem so far, which was totally my fault. The instructions said to place the soil discs in a large bowl of HOT water. I missed the word “hot”. I don’t know how much of a difference using regular temperature tapwater would make, but the discs did not produce very much soil. It’s not really a problem as I have some bonsai soil I can add to the mix. The instructions come in a booklet that’s very easy to read and understand. Each Bonsai tree has its own individual page of explicit instructions. It’s not just a matter of placing the seeds in the soil. The seeds need to be presoaked. Some seeds are then planted right away while the seeds for some of the other trees go through additional stages of being refrigerated for months. Bonsai trees are an undertaking of time and patience for beautiful results. This kit will definitely prepare you for that.

I am so excited about this five count Bonsai grow kit. It comes with everything you need to plant and grow bonsai trees. It comes with the seeds, soil, planting pots, markers and scissors. The plants are very easy to set up. I can’t wait to see these little trees begin to grow. I will update the review when I see a change in the plants. This is a great, affordable activity to share with your child. It’s also a great learning experience for beginning gardeners. I highly recommend you check it out and give it a try.m
