Easy to install but plastic fan cracked trying to put it on shaft. I used the old metal fan that was on the other motor I replaced. This is powerful but very loud.

I bought this replacement fan motor for my 50-year-old Leigh 7.5-inch bathroom fan to avoid replacing the entire unit and modifying the attic vent pipe. I just had to drill two holes in the old bracket for proper installation. Works great.

I needed a replacement motor for my old bathroom exhaust fan. The first motor this seller sent was missing the fan blade and they sent a replacement motor immediately, before receiving the return. To make the motor work, I had a machine shop fabricate a new mounting bracket out of flat stock to replace the old broken aluminum pot metal bracket on the old fan. When the new motor arrived, I whittled down the ABS fan blade using a fat tip sharpie marker and sharp scissors. Next, I cut down the old spindle shaft and used an angle grinder to shave it down so the fan blade could slide over it with no problems (otherwise the blade will stress fracture or just break when you push it on). This allowed me to push the blade closer to the motor, so the top of the curved blades wouldn't hit the flaps that open up when the fan is on to allow steam to escape. I acquired extra nuts, including lock nuts and lock washers so I could raise the motor above the flat stock bracket. This allowed me to insert a new bolt into the old spot where the old cover mounts over the ceiling tiles to hide the fan apparatus from site. I used a lock washer and lock nut to hold that bolt onto the flat stock. I pushed the motor in place to make sure the hand-spun blades weren't going to hit anything, then pulled it out to oil the flaps above. I had already acquired several lengths of machine screws with lock washers and socket heads so I could use a socket ratchet to screw them in rather than a screwdriver. After a lot of effort and many cuss words, it all came together and worked beautifully. This is the first time this bathroom has had a fan in decades. No more mold and mildew on the windows in surrounding bedrooms! And I didn't have to rip out the old ceiling tiles in this 1960s era mobile home, which would have been a much bigger project, trust me on that!

For some reason the local Home Improvement stores of Big Blue and Big Orange colors don't seem to carry CLOCKWISE rotation motors. Everything is CCW.This little sucker (and I mean this literally) installed in less than a minute, and when I turned the fan on I could feel the pressure change in the bathroom and feel the air move... My old fan (and blades) did not do this.I did pull the unit back and measured my old fan blade vs this new included one and there is a slight 2.5 degree more pitch to the fans... its much much quieter and pulls so much more air than my original that was installed in 2001!Cheaper than the box stores too!

Very easy to replace. At lot of reviews say it is to loud. I didn’t find that to be the case. We have 2 shower heads in our shower and it does struggle to keep the mirrors fog free. But it seems like 5 cfm is the standard.

I own a manufactured home that is around 16 years old. The exhaust fan in my master bathroom had begun to seize, so I disassembled it and rebuilt it, but 2 years later it began seizing again.Unlike a typical house ventilation fan this is more like a range fan and has no ducting, so I couldn't find replacements at Home Depot or Lowe's, and decided that this $25 unit was worth the risk.I'm happy to say it works well, all I had to do was swap over the bracket from my original motor to mount it to the ceiling/duct.I did struggle to get the plastic fan blade assembly itself to press onto the splines on the shaft of the motor, even with gloves I was struggling and couldn't fully seat the fan, it's probably 3/4 down the splines, which made it really difficult to balance. There needs to be a little more tolerance on the inner diameter of the plastic fan assembly to accept the splines, but it's definitely not going anywhere. All that aside, it's running just fine. Does the job and I can't complain, especially given the cost. We'll see how long it holds up, but I'm not crossing my fingers on another 16 years.

This fan was easy to fit and wire to my circular fan box. Still going strong after a year and a half.

This fan is a perfect fit. It also matched up perfectly with the bolt pattern that was used. Literally a 10 minute job from start to finish to change this out.

Was doing some renovations on a mobile home built in the late 1970s. The bathroom fan wasn’t working. Installed this replacement and it works like new.
