First - The product is flimsy plastic.Next - The instructions are ALL in Chinese.AND -I returned the item in December 27, and it is STILL in process…. The tracking says it is “on the way”. This long of return time should also tell you this product is junk.DO. NOT. BUY.

This didn't come with any directions so I had to look online. I added the pasta and filled the container with water to the line, and microwaved for 12 minutes. The pasta came out fine initially. I drained it and after a minute or two the noodles were sticky. All stuck together sticky. The taste was ok though. I believe that if I had added sauce immediately, everything would have been fine. It is easier than tending a pot to boil pasta, but it takes just as long.

I am so very disappointed with this purchase. You can only make 2 servings at a time. No instructions, no waterline mark and all the writing on it is not in English. I wish I would have spent more money for one of the nicer ones.

This microwave pasta cooker worked awesome for me! Not sure why other reviewers rated this product poorly but I'm happy with it. Yes, there will be steam and yes, you will need to test out the amount of water that you should use for the type of pasta that you are cooking. I don't eat a ton of pasta/ramen, and what I do cook usually has the microwave water/time recommendation on the package so not a big deal for me. I did take off two stars because the seller didn't disclose (that I can find anywhere) what type of plastic this product is made from. Overall, I recommend this affordable product for occasional pasta/ramen use, for more of an individual who wants just a quick meal.
