The timer switch works great. However, the holes that the cover screws go into are too large and the screws just spin in the holes. I had to go to Lowe’s and buy larger screws to put my cover back on. With other brands, this was not a problem. Kind of a pain.

It never fails that when leaving the bathroom you leave the exhaust fan running with the thought that you'll come back soon after to turn it off only to realize that it is still running hours later. This switch solves that problem! It is easy to install with the directions provided. It offers different timer intervals for your needs plus it helps cut down on energy consumption.

As others have mentioned, the faceplate only works if you have the fan switch by itself...which will probably never be the case. You will always have a light switch next to your fan switch, so having a proprietary, single switch faceplate is a dumb design. The screw holes that you would use for a dual faceplate are too large to hold the faceplate screws, so you have to rig it with glue or some other backing. My other minor complaint is that the box barely fits in most of my electrical boxes. If the plastic housing that held the electronics was just a few millimeters shorter, it would fit easily.Other than those complaints, the timer works well and it looks nice. I got it installed and it works.

...unless you want them to. One of the best upgrades to our bathroom. Seems I'm the only one in the house who remembers to turn off the lights when I leave the bathroom. Now the whole family remembers! Sometimes you're only the the bathroom for a minute (washing hands); other times you're in there longer (shower/shave). This makes it easy for the family--just hit the button, and the light will (eventually) turn off. I did need a new switch plate, as I have this switch and the bathroom fan in the same box.It was easy to wire, but you'll need to be sure your switch box has a neutral wire.[

This timer switch plate works just as intended and includes all hardware needed. I like that it saves power by switching off itself. Comes with a white switch plate. Installation was easy and it functions just how it should. I’m satisfied with the purchase.

I have an application for this countdown timer switch by BN-LINK that has really made my life easier and at the same time has saved on my electric bill. My laundry room is fairly large and is used for multiple purposes. It never fails that the light is left on all day long constantly by literally everyone in the house, including myself. I though that I had solved the problem by installing a motion sensor switch (which is located outside the entrance to the room), but often enough we are not done with whatever task we are doing in the room before the light goes out because it sees no motion. Then you have to exit the room to activate the motion switch again to turn the light back on. So rather than just relying on the motion switch alone, I installed this timer switch to give the option to quickly set a pre-set time before the light goes off if you know you will be in the room for awhile. The light will still go off with the motion sensor, but only if the timer switch has turned off first. Most times you can just walk in without setting the timer and it relys on the motion switch alone, but if you know you will be in the room longer, just press the timer switch and it takes control. It's kind of an unusual arrangement, but it works well for us. The bottom line is that the lights are never on longer than they need to be, and at the same time never shorter than it needs to be. For those that think I could just install the motion switch inside the room, it's just not an option in this case.Review for: BN-LINK Countdown Light Switch Timer for Bathroom Exhaust Fan, Indoor Wall Timer with Push Button Presets 1-5-10-20-30-60mins, Requires Neutral Wire 2408-008

The BN-LINK Digital Timer Switch for Bathroom Exhaust Fan comes with everything needed to install except a screwdriver. Installation was straight forward. My brother installed it quickly. It actually took more time to run to the basement to turn the breakers on and off. To select the length of time desired for the fan to stay on, just touch the button with the amount of time needed. There are six options- 1, 5, 10, 20, 30 mins, or 1 hr. You don't actually press the button; touching turns it on. There is an time indicator light along the top that shows the selected time. It does not show how much time is left. It is very small print. One area where it could be improved is the size of the time on the buttons. It may be my eyes, but the print is tiny and fine. I will probably create labels with a bigger font or put a small sticker on the time that I use most often.
