Its a nice radio that fits my needs perfectly. I have it in my boat and only listen to music at mid levels while fishing. I'm using cheap speakers so I can't evaluate high volume levels with it but the receiver works as good as any.

When you purchase most stereos, sound quality is the number one consideration. And this unit sounds fine. But on a moving boat where nothing sounds that good, other things become important. The reason I replaced my old unit with this one was that all the chrome on the old stereo — the trim ring, buttons, and screen frame were corroding from the salt air and there was nothing I could do to protect them. This stereo was thoughtfully designed for a marine environment and I believe it will look better longer. It was easy to install and the Bluetooth connectivity worked right away.

I haven't added an amplifiers yet, but this was a good start to a system. Easy to connect and appears to be good quality.

The conventional style radio in my boat had failed, and I needed a replacement. Upon searching my options. I found this one on Amazon. I was not quite sure how it would work, being not the same size as the old one. But it was obviously much more stylish, a, I liked the look. As you can see from the picture, I made a plastic covering for the old hole and fit it for the new radio head. Wiring was easy to the amplifier, and it is super easy to use. Conventional radio reception is great as well as the hook up to Bluetooth. Extremely happy with the purchase. It also allowed me space to add a digital voltmeter which you see pictured as well.

For the money this is a nice little marine stereo head. I like that the cables are all well marked and that there is also a nice label on the USB cable that also has the cable color codes in case the individual labels fall off. I'm a bit concerned about it's ability to continue it's rated output for a very long time because, though the back is aluminum, it has minimal fins that would increase the surface area to act as an efficient heat sink. I would highly recommend using an external amplifier for that reason if you are connecting to low impedance speakers and will be operating at loud volumes.I've read the other reviews and have a hard time believing that anyone could possibly post a review that says the operation guide is clear. This is because the guide is apparently the manufacturers generic guide that covers other units and suggests turning knobs for some setup items. The important thing to remember about the operation of this unit is that the power button becomes the Mode button, and the play/pause button doubles as the Source button when the unit is turned on.When turned on, clicking the power button will rotate through the different tone, eq, balance, etc type Modes and when the correct mode shows up that you want to change, you then use the vol - and vol + keys to + or - that setting. For example with power already on: click the power button once and it will allow you to press + or - to cycle through the different colors available for the button backlights. If you don't touch a button for about 3 seconds it goes back to the main screen. All the rest of the "Modes" are adjusted pretty much the same except for setting the time. To set the time click the power button until time shows up which is the next mode after turning Subwoofer on or off. Once it shows the time you need to quickly press and hold the power button until the hours flash. Set the hours + or - then click the power button again to set the minutes + or - keeping in mind that it will go back to the main screen if you don't press a button within about 3 seconds. When the time is set it will show the time on the screen without a backlight when the power is off. And you press and hold the power button while in the main screen to shut off the power. To select between the different sources, press and hold the play/pause button for 3 seconds to make the change to the next source. You then need to repeat that process until you get to the source you want. While in the Radio source, the Band and AMS buttons are pretty standard but this unit has three FM memory "Bands" and 2 AM memory "Bands" that you can switch between pressing and holding the "Band" button. One note about the radio is that you can manually select a channel if you press and hold the next track button for three seconds while in the radio mode and then immediately use the + and - keys to manually choose the frequency. One last note on operation is that you can reset the device if you select the Aux In as Source and then press and hold the next track key. Keep in mind that this will erase all of your preset channels and level adjustments.I've given this device three stars because I think it's of pretty average quality for this market. I would've given it four stars if it had a more robust heat sync on the back, and if it had that robust heat sync and a decent operating manual I would have given it 5 stars because of the pricing.all the bestdr
