It's a $30 dollar radio. I can buy 4-5 of these for the price of a marine Kenwood that will fail just as fast.

It is what it is for $20. Does not give much push to the speakers. Cannot clearly hear with boat at idle. You will need an Amplifier for sure.

Being a teenager in the 80's and not having much.I became familiar with brands like Pyle and Pyramid.I knew then that they were budget brands, but I read the reviews for this particular unit and thought I'd try it in my boat.It is packed with features.I'll give you that. Was almost sufficient enough to power the four Kicker 6.5's without an amp I paired it with.It came with no instruction booklet, but I've been installing my own vehicle audio equipment since 1986.It was straight forward.Zero issues.Testing in the drive way I was about 90% happy. The volume goes to 45.At 32 which is 75%, it wanted to distort. At 33 distortion was definitely noticeable. With loudness turned it sounded decent but couldn't go any higher on the volume than 18-19.Setting custom EQ settings got me in the ballpark of where I wanted to be.The included EQ presets left a lot to be desired.I did like the "pop" EQ setting the most but it seemed to cut the volume down even at max.I hit the water. The two things that caused me to return the unit and go with something else were. One, for being a "marine" radio the display is not visible in direct sunlight. Two, the remote needed to be pointed almost directly straight at the unit for the unit to recognize commands from the remote. The two above issues were the main reason I returned the unit.Although an inconvenience, I probably could have lived with the remote issue. Not being able to see the display in the sunlight out on the lake from behind the helm was definitely a deal breaker for me.

Listen you are not going to win any audio contests with this unit and with that said this is a great marina unit for under $50.00. It sounds decent and has all the basic features .

Great price point. The radio sounds great and fit perfect in my pontoon boat. Its very light and feels cheap although appearance is nice, so worry about durability so will see how it lasts.

I attempted to fit this on my boat a few weeks after arrival. Not working and the seller refuses to replace as it is outside the one month Amazon return period. Don’t buy

My product arrived today and surprised me in several ways. Imagine receiving a product now a day that actually 1) comes with a manual and 2) the manual does NOT need to be translated or require a magnifying glass to read. This radio did require me to change the power plug from my old radio, but was simply splicing 4 wires into the jack. Speaker plug was the same and required no modifications. Manual gave detailed instructions on ALL aspects of the set up and installation. Radio worked great and blue tooth connected with my android with no problems. Although I did not have a chance to try the SD or USB connection yet, I am fairly certain that there will be no problems with those. Highly recommend this radio to all boat owners

Pyle Marine receiver. This inexpensive receiver has a lot of good features. Here are some comments. The Bluetooth connects very well and automatically plays your last streaming station. Pause, play and skip song work through the receiver's Bluetooth as well. The digital tuner does a good job of grabbing some far away stations and playing them without static. It puts out plenty of power to my 5-1/4 in speakers and will play louder than I want to hear it.I think this is a very nice receiver for the price I paid. I suppose if I were able to do a side-by-side comparison with a more expensive unit I might find some differences. But out on the lake in my pontoon boat listening to music on the Pyle sounds just fine to me and is a big improvement over the original unit in the boat that still had a cassette player. The installation was a little tricky as I'm not a pro. At first the unit would not power up and I was planning to return it because I thought it was DOA. Then I learned that in addition to power and ground there is a little red accessory wire that must also be connected to power either through ignition or accessory switch. Once I did that everything was fine. I wonder if this is the same situation some other reviewers have encountered that said their unit wouldn't work. The installation instructions are a little sketchy for a novice and could have been more helpful to save the company some unnecessary returns and bad reviews. The wiring harness is very cheap and could be improved with better wires. I had a little trouble connecting my new 16 gauge copper speaker wires to the crappy 22 gauge aluminum wires on the harness as the harness wires were brittle and kept breaking in the crimp connector. I eventually solved this by twisting the wires together the old fashioned way and using the crimp connector as a cap over the twisted wires rather than a bridge between them as it is designed for. The harness wires are only about 6 in long. You can't redo them too many times before you get in trouble and don't have any wire left so be careful. The display is not as bright as I hoped it would be and is a little tough to see on a sunny day.The remote control is infrared not RF. So you have to point it right at the receiver in order to get it to work. I'm not so sure I understand the benefit of controlling the unit with a remote when I am sitting right at the console. So I tossed the remote in the glove box and it will probably stay there for a long time.I'm not sure why but the Pyle instructions say that the unit should be setting level for best result, but my console panel is angled down. It seems to be working fine so I'm going to leave it alone. I'm not going to mess around trying to put in an angled bezel unless it gives me trouble.I like the unit a lot but I can't give it five stars because of the cheap wires on the harness.
