Tried to pair it with Apple AirPods. Not easy to get it paired, and later cannot detect AirPods. Wasted quite some time on this. Went to source for another product.

With 25,000 of my favorite songs and playlists that took me years to build up through iTunes on my Classic iPod, I was sad when cars stopped providing the available USB ports to hardwire my iPod to. Since I’m renting a car in Scotland soon andcell connectivity and the airwaves can be choppy in the Northern Scotland high countries, this iPod Sound Port > Bluetooth transmitter through the car stereo system is perfect because I can then still use the Classic iPod Cable to keep the iPod charged through the 5 USB port charger I’m bringing for the car charging socket. Thus, the iPod stays charged while playing music through the car stereo system via Bluetooth through the iPod sound port. Perfect solution for when cell connectivity is choppy! Tested it out and it works well in my car now, so expect the same for the SUV I’m renting in Scotland.

I ordered this so I could use my elderly MP3 player (don't laugh, I love that thing) with Bluetooth devices, especially my motorcycle helmet. I received it, charged it, and brought it with me to work in my car to test out.I powered it on and tried to get it to sync with my car's entertainment system. The entertainment system recognized it but wouldn't sync no matter what. I tried it a few more times in both transmit (TX) and receive (RX) mode, all to no avail.Thinking that my car's entertainment system might be a bit finicky (it has been in the past), I also tried to pair it with my laptop. This laptop recognizes EVERYTHING that's Bluetooth-equipped in a 50 foot radius-- my mouse, my wireless headset, everyone else's wireless headsets, you name it. Everything, that is, except this transmitter. Like two awkward adolescents at a middle-school dance, my computer and the transmitter refused to acknowledge one another's existence.I tried again with my phone, an older Samsung that will pair with just about anything including a set of convenience-store earbuds that are notoriously finicky. Nothing. My phone didn't even see this thing. It also acts flaky. Sometimes it refuses to turn off even if I hold the power button down for 10 seconds or more. Yesterday I spent the entire day charging it so that I could try syncing it one last time on my ride home. When I unplugged it from the charger it turned itself on and would not shut back off despite me holding down the power button for 20 seconds at a time. I guess the battery ran down overnight because it was off this morning.I have another Bluetooth transmitter that I bought a couple of years back and ended up not using. Truth be told, I completely forgot I had it when I ordered this one. The older transmitter, a Taotronics unit that no longer has a listing on Amazon, paired immediately with my car and worked perfectly. At this point I knew that this transmitter was a dud.If you buy this, be aware that the build quality looks mediocre at best. This wouldn't be a problem if the thing actually worked, but mine at least was a complete waste of time. I spent three days trying to get this thing to work on several different devices and had zero success. It didn't transmit a single note of music. I strongly recommend you buy something better even if it costs a little more. This one is going back to Amazon.

For what it is, and the price, it’s perfect for what I needed it for (making my personal stereo Bluetooth). However, it took a really long time to get it to connect to my AirPods Pro 2nd Gen. At first connection, the audio was barely audible and you could only hear a little bit of it when you cranked up the volume all the way. Turns out that you have to connect it a whole bunch of times while trying different methods to get it to work. NOTE: This thing connected almost instantly to all other Bluetooth headphones and the first gen non pro AirPods and had no issues with volume. The range on this thing isn’t too bad, was able to walk around to different rooms (on one floor mind you) and it didn’t lose signal or cut out. The only complaint i have about this is that there is a quite annoying digital signal being produced by the transmitter itself that can be heard during quiet or silent parts through headphones and speakers. Other than that, this thing does have pretty good sound quality for the price, but the digital signal sound can be solved if using a longer aux cord instead of the one supplied. ALSO! When receiving Bluetooth signal (not transmitting) there is no digital signal sound, and it is very quiet and sounds great! If your getting this for a transmitter, maybe get something a little more quality based, but if you don’t mind the odd digital sound during quiet and silent parts, then it will most likely be fine.

This thing is really great, and has features which aren't even mentioned on the product page. It essentially acts as four products in one.It has the obvious transmit or receive functionality using the headphone jack. So it can do these two things:Provide a way for an old device (like a portable CD/cassette player or an iPod) to connect to bluetooth headphones. It can also work in receive mode so that you can use it to adapt a car's AUX jack to work with a modern bluetooth device (like your phone). However, it also has some secret undocumented features when connected to a PC over USB.If the TX/RX switch is in TX and you connect to a PC via USB, it will transmit the PC's audio to your bluetooth headphones. And if the switch is in the RX setting and you connect to a PC over USB, it will output the PC audio over the headphone jack on the device. For $10 this thing is amazing. It's literally four devices in one, and it's tiny and compact. I plan to keep mine in the case with my Bose QC35 headphones.

I wanted to use bluetooth headphones with my smarttv that has no bluetooth. All I had to do was connect and turn it on and once I set my headphones to pair it connected.(make sure if something that is also paired is not near or it might pair to that instead not sure though) Gets great sound and range for a good deal and solved the problem of me making sure not to wake others when they need to sleep or just plain disturbing them. I must say though it is kind of unreliable, as it stopped working after about an hour and I had to wait till the next day. You will get your money's worth though.
