Ordered Avantree Orbit-Pro Transmitter/Receiver and 2 Avantree NB-18 Ear Buds for TV viewing. I ordered both ear buds and transmitter together with the hope that they would install easily, work consistently without dropping the connection occasionally, and needing to be paired again after pairing was lost all problems common with 3 other transmitters I had purchased. Ease of connection to the TV was simple, pairing the 2 ear buds was simple, range is excellent, ear bud sound is excellent, and while the combination was more expensive than what I had purchased before the value for the money is excellent as the combination works as hoped for 2 old folks that are hard of hearing!

This was easy to connect to TV with fiber optic cable, clear instructions. Works great. You can set TV sound to any level, and still adjust Bluetooth headphones to the level you want with the included remote volume control. All cables needed, are included. Sound quality is excellent. Highly recommend this product. Exactly what I wanted.

I bought the Avantree Torus and the Avantree Orbit Pro to address three specific requirements. The system addresses a couple of those requirements perfectly, but fails on the third. I currently have the Orbit Pro connected to my Sony TV/Sony Soundbar via the Optical cable.Pro’s:Overall, the system works great to provide you with high quality remote listening capability. The low latency Bluetooth eliminates any lip-sync issues. The Torus headphones/speakers have a great sound an exceptional battery life. Con’s:Though the system uses Low Latency Bluetooth, there is still sufficient delay to create an unacceptable echo between the TV output and the headphone output. The Orbit Pro does not provide an eARC HDMI output, so you cannot connect it via HDMI if you are using an ARC/eARC Sound Bar or Home Theatre System. The remote requires a lot of pressure to control the volume. The remote is somewhat redundant, as the headphone volume up/down feature provides the same function.1) I spend a lot of time in the kitchen, and watch the TV in the family room through a pass-through window. In order to hear the TV, I have to crank up the volume, which bothers my wife. With the Torus/Orbit Pro I can roam around the kitchen and hear the TV perfectly. The Torus are loud enough that my wife can still hear the sound, but the volume is low enough that it does not bother her. Also, if it does start to bother her, the Torus has the earbud option which silences it completely. I did a bit of research and testing before buying these, and the Low Latency of the aptX HD Bluetooth ensures there is no visible lip-sync delay. So, 5 stars for this application.2) I enjoy watching college and pro football, but my wife hates it – especially the constant continuous discussion by the sports announcers. Once again, the combination of the Torus with the Orbit Pro works perfectly. So, 5 stars for this application.3) I am retired, and have a bit of hearing loss. I have been putting off getting hearing aids and I end up listening to the TV at a fairly high volume. Even with the TV at this volume, I struggle to catch every word of the dialog. I had hoped that I could use the Torus and Orbit Pro to boost the volume for me, without making it too loud for my wife and others in the room. Unfortunately, even though the Torus/Orbit Pro use the aptX HD Low Latency Bluetooth components, there is still a delay. This delay is bad enough that I have to mute the sound from the TV and Surround sound system to use them. So, for this application, the rating falls to 1 star.

This is very easy to configure and add the wireless headphones, speakers.. I also like the fact that it has multiple way to configure depending on the type of TV you have. The best thing I Like is that you can have both headsets and speaker working at the same time. Usually it is one or the other but not working simultaneusly.

Been using this unit for about two weeks. So far so good! Simple setup, tangible quality, good value.I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to use two pairs of headphones in their home theater system, gaming, movies, etc performance has been great and no noticeable delay issues. You can use your own bt headphones with this unit, I have paired four different headsets and all work great . I am using the supplied optical cable connected to the ARC output on my TV. Instructions could be better for more complex audio systems, but there's videos on you tube that may fill in the blanks for some.

This Transmitter/Receiver is super easy to use. It's smaller than it looks, just a few inches tall, though the top is wide enough to accodate large buttons. The screen makes finding and pairing with your devices a no-brainer.I bought this unit because of the bluetooth capabilities in my Hisense TV were so limited. The Orbit Pro can connect to two bluetooth headphones instead of one, has fewer drop-outs, longer range, no lip-syncing issue (ATPX-LL, low-latency), and allows each listener to pick their own volume level separate and distinct from the other listener.Compared to the other Orbit units, this one has a remote control, supports eARC input and, I believe, has a few more volume levels (15 instead of 10?). I didn't buy this for the remote or eARC input; I simply wanted to make sure I got the latest device with the newest internals. It's 3 years newer than the previous rev.I do get some dropouts. This is particularly noticable if something is in pairing mode (so don't do that while listenting to music). I will report back if I figure out which of my 20 Bluetooth capable devices is interfering. It's not happening that often so I'm not concerned.Avantree seems to have done everything right. It sorta does what you want it to. They just sorta know. For example, I can select a set of headphones on the LCD and see if it's using APTX-LL. You can also adjust the volume in the same way if your earbuds don't have volume controls. There's a remote control that I just put in a drawer since my headphones have volume buttons.I have successfully paired with three over-the-ear headphones and was pleased:- Seinnheiser HD450SE- Ankbit E600Pro- Bose QC 35 IIThe Seinnheiser and Ankbits have APTX-LL. The Bose QC 35 II don't have APTX-LL, and the lag/latency was very noticable (not the Orbit's fault - that APTX-LL is crucial). The Bose went back upstairs for listening to music.Pros:Allows headphones with volume controls to individually select their own volume / listening levelsLooks fantasticLED screen for simple pairingCons:An occaisonal dropout
