About this item

  • 100% PURE BEESWAX PILLAR CANDLE: Enjoy a spectacular amber glow and fill your home with the subtle scent of raw beeswax. We source premium-grade, sustainable bees wax for our candles.
  • RIDICULOUSLY LONG BURN TIMES: Bluecorn's beeswax pillar candles burn longer than other wax candles, thanks to our filtering process that eliminates wick-clogging particulate.
  • UNSCENTED BEESWAX has a subtle, intoxicating aroma all its own — think warm honey. Unlike toxic petroleum wax blends, natural beeswax candles do not release harmful or irritating fumes into the air. Free from paraffin, soy, chemical fragrance and metal-core wicks.
  • INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED with every purchase to avoid tunneling and help you get the most out of Bluecorn's 100% beeswax candles. Select from a wide range of 2, 3 and 4 inch candles in different heights. Available in bulk multipacks!
  • HANDMADE, HANDCRAFTED (for real) in Colorado since 1991. Our bees wax candles are made in the USA. Natural candlelight offers us a ritual of pause and presence — an opportunity to return to simple.

Product Description

Many beeswax pillar candles have difficulty burning because the particulate in beeswax clogs the wick, resulting in a weak flame and tunneling. Our beeswax pillars will burn perfectly because we lightly filter our crude beeswax and carefully choose the right wick. Light filtration takes out just the right amount of particulate while keeping the sweet honey scent and gorgeous natural color intact.

Pure Beeswax Pillars

Beeswax has been honored as the best candle wax since time immemorial for its long, clean burn and unparalleled, subtle scent.

Beeswax Pillar Size and Use Reccomendations

Bluecorn Beeswax Pillar candle in smalles, 2" wide, 3" tall, size.

The 2" Diameter Beeswax Pillar

Engineered for shorter burns of about an hour, these narrow pillars can also refill glassware of a similar diameter. We don't recommend placing them in lanterns or large jars, as the radiant heat will cause them to drip, radically shortening the burn time.

The 3" Diameter Beeswax Pillar

Designed for longer burns of at least 3 hours at a time, our 3-inch diameter beeswax pillars are our most popular and versatile.

The 4" Diameter Beeswax Pillar

The consummate all-day burner, our 4-inch candles should be lit for no fewer than 6 hours at a time. They also burn beautifully inside lanterns or hurricane glass. Wonderful beeswax "hot throw" — scent while burning.

A Legacy of Spirited Mountain Living & Hand-crafted Light

In the winter of 1991, my home was a tiny, one-room cabin in Telluride, Colorado, where “Baker” Steve taught me how to dip a beeswax candle. We worked by candlelight, often dipping well into morning. When finished, we could barely move through the cabin while hundreds of still-warm tapers hung wall-to-wall.

This legacy of simple, spirited living is at the heart of Bluecorn. The act of lighting a flame inspires us to pause, connect, and be more mindful. It's an opportunity to return to simple.

I love the smell of this product and the fact that it is made in USA. However, it doesn't stay lit.

I have bought many of these over the years. Candid review.Pros: Beautiful light, local Colorado company, excellent subtle smell, long lasting.Cons: Finicky and fussy candles that require lots of maintenance, relighting, trimming wick, excavating the wick, etc. This feels like a "pro" candle that is not for beginners. These candles WILL tunnel no matter what you do. Also they're about 10% too expensive for what they are, but here I am coming back to them again and again ...

There is absolutely no beeswax scent to this candle..I was so disappointed! It seems to burn well if you know how to burn pillars but has a horrible smell after extinguished! For the price it's not worth the money..I will return it promptly!

I spent a lot of time reading reviews before choosing this candle, and I’m very satisfied with my purchase. Reviewers seemed to have the best luck with the 3x3 so that’s what I ordered. These pictures show what it looks like after around 15 hours of burning. It comes with simple instructions on maximizing candle life, and I loosely followed them. I am very bothered by most candles and fragrances in all forms, but this candle hasn’t given me any negative health effects, like the sore throat I get from a standard scented candle from the mall. It has a very light natural beeswax scent that is only noticeable if you get right on top of it and seek it out. It doesn’t throw a scent around the room. Given how little has been used up by 15 hours of burn time, I expect this candle to last for a long while.

These candles are a nice way to be kind to yourself or someone that you love. I feel a nice calm caring for them so that they burn to their potential and I have sent them to people I love as a token of my care for them. I'm not at all into anything artificial that could pollute the air inside my home and these give me no concern at all. The slight scent of honey is natural and so pleasing when I catch a whiff of it. Yes they are expensive so when I light them I light them with purpose, when I am in need of some extra care myself. They are special candles to me.

I paid the equivalent of 72 US dollars for this item only for it to arrive with a receipt for 34 US dollars. What a swindle!
