I recently purchased the Milliard Non-GMO Emulsifying Wax Pastilles for my DIY skincare and cosmetic projects, and I am thoroughly impressed! These pastilles melt easily and blend perfectly into both oil and water phases, making the process of creating lotions, creams, and balms smooth and efficient. The quality of the wax is top-notch, and the fact that it’s Non-GMO is a major plus for those who are conscious about the ingredients in their homemade products. The pastilles are easy to measure, which makes them convenient for precise formulations. I also appreciate how they result in a smooth, stable emulsion every time, without any graininess or separation. The wax itself doesn’t have a strong odor, allowing the natural fragrances of other ingredients to shine through.Overall, this emulsifying wax is a fantastic addition to any DIY enthusiast’s collection. It’s reliable, easy to work with, and produces great results. I will definitely be purchasing this again for future projects. Great value. Highly recommend!

I have not used this product so I have not given it a TRUE rating but my concern is that I may not use this product for my cosmetics. There is an ALLERGEN ALERT on the package which reads “ packaged in a facility that also processes eggs, dairy, peanuts, soy, tree nuts and wheat.” I do not think this would be good to even test out. This is heartbreaking. Other than that good packaging and long expiration date. The pastilles were nice and fresh.

Since I don't use preservatives in my face lotion, I need to make a very small batch to last a few days, and this works great. Recipe: I use water, oil, and this wax at 8-4-1 ratio by volume. (I use distilled water and olive oil). I put oil and wax in one little jar, and the water in another. I put both jars in a pot of cold water (double boiler idea), heat it up, and when the oily mix is melted, I take both jars out, let them cool a little, and then pour the jar water in the oily stuff. Stir well, and stir every few minutes for 10 minutes, and you'll have a great cream/lotion when it's FULLY cool!

This works just like a charm! I made some moisturizing face cream with a high water content and some oils and it emulsified everything perfectly! Ot was my first attempt to make cream and I know sometimes it can be challenging but using this made it very easy. It melts fairly quick, doesn't leave any type of residue as far as I can tell and it does the job brilliantly. I am very satisfied with this purchase and I will buy again for sure, although the bag is huge and it'll last me a very long time because you only need small quantities if you make creams and lotions for yourself.

I bought this to start making my own lotions. I'm still fairly new and I'm learning a lot as I do my research. This stuff is very easy to use. I do recommend being careful heating it up if your using a microwave. If you heat it too much and even by adding hot distilled water ( which is a must to use because faucet water can cause bacteria to grow) It doesn't set right, even after it cools. I recommend melting it on the stove. That way you can watch it melt and it won't get too hot. After mixing the melted wax and water let it sit till it gets warm to touch or room temp before adding in your oils. Again if won't set good if you add in the oils when it's too hot. This has just been my experience. Also a little goes a long way. I made some errors in training lolYou can basically add in any oils you like. I like to use pure cocoa butter oil, this is something you can melt down with the wax at the same time since it comes hard and chunky. Also I used coconut oil, avocado oil, vitamin E and D and grape seed oil. They all mix well with the wax.I may try bees wax next time to see which works better. Though I read the wax is better but will still try both..plus I want to make chap sticks and bees wax is the way to go for those.. I hope my review helps you. I know when I was reading other people's reviews it helped answer some of my questions I had in mind.Update. I deducted one star because I have found this product a lot cheaper in other stores. Not only is it cheaper but you get a lot more and it's the same thing. . My local Ocean state carries it so I'll be buying it from them from now on.

Very impressed with this product. It was used to make lotion (with hemp oil- using a 50/50 mix of oil and emulsifying wax) and the finished product feels very soft and silky on my skin. I use the lotion on my face every day, sometimes even mixing it in with my makeup. I was concerned at first because "wax" is in the product description however after comparing this to store bought lotion and makeup- this is way more natural. Reminds me of what these cosmetic companys package as face "primers" to be used under makeup. This emulsifying wax blended with the oil gave me the same effect. It makes my face feel like velvet. Doesn't clog my pores, actually I even use a little squirt of the lotion to clean my face in the shower. This product works great for lotion making and probably can be used to make other skin care products, haven't tried this yet.
