We recently needed to replace the attachment cord to our Blue Ox ‘Break Buddy’ (our fault that the pin had detached as we attached it prior to ‘setting’ the unit so it pulled out of the main unit. You need to set the unit then plug in the cord afterwards.Unfortunately, we only needed that cord and not the other parts…however this is only sold in the set. It would be great if there was an option to either buy the complete set or individual parts.

Worked with my patriot braking system that I just installed on my truck, although I think it’s a little pricey for what you get, but for what it’s job is, to activate the brakes, if you were to lose your tow vehicle then I guess it’s worth every penny. Plus it’s a factory replacement not an aftermarket.

On my 2018 Wrangler JK, I had to drill a 1/2” hole in the firewall to run the cable that connects to the Patriot II. I drilled it from the driver’s compartment by first pulling back the carpet. It was easy. Be sure to install a rubber grommet in this hole as the metal edges are sharp. The firewall is a double wall design, so I had to put a grommet on each side, one on the engine side and one on the driver’s compartment side.I also drilled and tapped a 1/4” hole into the outside of the baseplate on the driver’s side to attach the breakaway switch.
