From early school in the 1960ies till today, Pelikan was with me! Still today my fountain pen only gets the original ink 4001! Did you ever recognize the cap’s clip is a showing a pelican’s head! Never loose your hand writing skills! No digital system will read your electronic notes in twenty years! Paper and ink will stay!

esse é o segundo frasco da marca pelikan que adquiri. o primeiro me fez nunca mais querer arriscar por um bom tempo; foi um preto com cor bem rala chegando a ficar cinza depois de seca e causando falhas na caneta. esse frasco além de ter uma cor linda, funciona suavemente na mesma caneta. talvez o controle de qualidade da marca não seja bom ou me enviaram um frasco ruim na compra anterior. enfim, é um bom custo-benefício mas com esse risco de vir um frasco com tinta ruim

Pelikan 4001 inks are very dry and therefore the best for gushing pens, like Pelikans, of which I own a few. I guess they know their pens and make inks to suit them. This blue/black is perfect for my Pelikan m1000 with a medium nib, but I can’t say how it would perform with a smaller, fine nibbed pen like a Lamy 2000 or a Jinhao 126.

A no frills ink, that looks good on business documents and personal correspondence. Don't expect dazzling, jump off the page writing, just a good reliable ink.

Didn't like the color of this ink at first, but I found that its color wet and dry are very different; wet it's definitely blue, but it dries to a very nice blue black. Dries quickly so as not to smudge, the color sets in a little after. Overall, very happy with it.
