Installation：
- Confirm the size of the hole first
- Place the goof ring between the ceiling and the light so that the ceiling light ring trims can cover cracks or areas that need decoration

These products worked perfectly for our hanging light project. The bases on the pendulum lights were quite narrow and that required us to add the trim piece. However, the finished product was better looking than we thought possible! It looks like it always should have been that way!

I have to admit, I goofed up when I ordered these because I ordered the wrong size.However, it still covers up the mess I had on the wall when I replaced the light fixture in my bathroom so I'm happy with the product.In normal circumstances, you would have to remove the fixture, undo the wiring, install the goof ring, reattach the wiring and fixture. In my case, the light bars are moveable so I was able to bend them down, slip the ring on and move them back to horizontal positions.The rings themselves are thin yet sturdy and will do a nice job of cleaning up the area around an ugly fixture. I may even find a use for one in a click build I'm planning down the road - in my long list of future projects.I will reorder the proper size but for now, I'm still calling this a win.

I chose the 5 inch version of this recessed light ring to use with my Sunco Lighting 6 Inch LED Nightlight Disk Lights Flush Mount Ceiling Light Fixture Recessed because it added about 3/4 inch to the diameter of the coverage. I had just a small amount that the new fixtures didn’t cover that the old lighting did and I didn’t want a larger plate.Also, the outer diameter is 8 inches not the inner diameter as stated in the listing. The inner and outer dimensions are swapped.

I chose this pack of goof rings for use in both LED light installs as well as just general cover-ups for a few lighting fixtures that I've recently installed were the new fixture doesn't cover the area around the old fixture where paints mismatch.These rings are good quality, sturdy and non-flexible with a very thin profile that doesn't interfere with the lighting install. They're much more attractive than the ugly patterned cover-up mounting solutions that I've used in the past. Considering that these cost over $12 each at the orange big-box store, the 5 for under $30 is a great deal.If you're doing some old incandescent pot-light replacements with LED, these are a huge timesaver over drywall patching/filling/drilling and honestly look like they belong to the new lighting fixture.

Perfect for what we needed and these are exactly as described. Very good quality, well made and measurements were spot on. They aren't flimsy, we were quite pleased with the durability. Also an excellent value because it's a 5 pack. I recommend measuring twice and double checking that your measurements match the description.
