I loved my first order. My two budgies fight over it so I’m trying to buy a second. I have now bought the same exact item for the third time and the last two are three times as large as the original. I’m definitely still buying “small” as labeled on the item. They have just increased the size so it no longer works for small birds. Seller! Change your listing to large or medium! And get back the small branches!

This perch is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I ordered extra small which is very thin - good for finches or budgies. Great quality, length, and sturdy. I loved it so much that I just ordered 2 more, another extra small and a small (for our lovebirds).

I cannot say enough about this Bottleneck Perch! My birds were so attracted to it they were already jumping on it as I was installing it! The stick is the perfect size for little feet,on the softer side which makes nibbling a nice sensation, the forked shape is varied and can adapt nicely to the selected cage area. It’s clean, naturally colored and forked. It’s so versatile I just ordered another one to put in horizontally.

I dont normally write product reviews but as this product has none .. i thought i would share my experience. The product meets expectations and is exactly what you would expect for a medium perch and it is considered a long perch when compared to other perches online .. i like that each one is different but it is not clear what makes the perch a medium size since the thickness and the length varies alot from perch to perch. I personally have a couple of birds and medium size would work for anything from a conure upto a congo african grey ( if u got lucky with the write thickness that is ) because one of the perches i received would end up as a toy in my african grey cage since its so thin and chewable for a medium size bird.

The perch was shown as a single stick branch but it actually has other branches sticking out causing it to be too big for the cage which is my fault for not carefully checking the measurements. However, it's sturdy and it can be cut down to fit into the spot I need it in and will definitely meet his needs. It will not be easy to clean though.

My girl is a 16 y.o. Umbrella Cockatoo...When I put this perch up, she wouldn't go near it for two weeks! LOL, I think she thought it was a birdie monster...she kept away from it until one day, she "forgot" it was "the monster out to get her" and she got up on it. When she realized it didn't try to grab her, that's when she really started to enjoy this perch/toy. She loves it. It keeps her busy and it's very sturdy. The wood is solid and easy to clean. This is a great perch for medium to large birds. My bird can destroy toys in an hour, but this perch is still there and doing its job! I'm going to get more. I replaced a "sanded" perch with this one...I don't think she'll be eyeing it as the bird-eating monster next time, but you never know!

I've purchased two of these bottlebrush perches--one large for my blue-fronted amazon, and an x-large for my harlequin macaw. The large I received is between 1.5" and 2" in diameter, which is just about the right size for my BFA. The bottlebrush wood is clean and cured, and the hardware is securely in place. The bark has a nice nubby texture, and if my BFA decides to peel it off, it should take him a while. I like these perches that attach on only one side for next to the food dish/water bottle and for a high-up roosting perch. It gives them more perching space without crowding the cage with perches that span all the way across. I only use natural branches for perches because it's the best for their feet, but it does mean I have to carefully place everything because branches are all uniquely shaped.I bought the x-large one about three years ago. It didn't take my macaw too long to peel off all the bark, but that should be no surprise to any macaw owner. She's bigger than most green wings, and her feet are huge. It is hard to find perches that with a wide enough diameter for her feet. The x-large I received is about 3-3.5" diameter, and if I'd received one that was closer to 2" I would have given it to my BFA.These are good perches at a reasonable price, and I will be purchasing from this company again. That being said, if you have access to bird-safe wood that you can legally harvest for free, you should go for it (lists of bird-safe wood are easy to find online, and I'd suggest seeking one out regardless, to make sure the perches you are buying are safe). I live in a city and it's more trouble than it's worth to find legal-to-harvest wood where I live.

I purchased this perch in medium for our new green cheek conure, not realizing quite how thick it would be. The caique they show in the picture is a bit of a larger bird with a little bigger feet, so I should have realized the size. However, I still put it in his new cage and figure that if anything, he could chew on it. He actually loves it! He's on it more than any other spot or perch in the cage, and while it's too thick for his little feet to wrap around, he enjoys running around on it and picking at the wood. He actually sleeps on it most nights. If the description for this is correct, it's made in American and made of Bottlebrush wood, which is safe for birds. The fact that it's from Florida makes me feel much better about it. It didn't have an odd smell and was perfectly clean right out of the bag, though I did still rinse it off and let it air dry before putting it in with him. We've only had it for about a week but it still looks great, even with him picking pieces off it constantly. For the price, which is pretty reasonable, this is a really great natural wood perch and I would recommend.
